Billed as being filmed in an "abandoned urban area", this was in fact recorded in the recently-closed Stocznia Gdynia shipyard in the Polish port of Gdynia, one of the busiest container ports on the Baltic and a lively, vibrant city with a population of over a million people. At no time was Grylls more than a few minutes walk from civilization including office buildings, commercial and residential districts and one of the city's main thoroughfares. See more
Bear Grylls claims to be "heading fast towards a port city on the Baltic coast", however moments later when he jumps onto the cargo net that's been carefully positioned within his reach, he's no longer heading towards the city, but in the opposite direction along the Kanal Portowy towards the Baltic.
