George receives bad news from his doctor. The tests she performed reveal he has stage 2 of prostrate cancer. Dr. Kenwood, an attractive woman, consoles him in ways that make George feel better about his condition when she embraces him, putting his face on her chest and kissing him, something he probably would not have gotten from a male doctor.
Stella asks Jonathan out for a date at a club. The reason she brought him was to tell him their relationship is not going anywhere and she prefers Warren, whom she figures, has been in her life, and in her heart, much longer. A disappointed Jonathan is assaulted as he is walking away from the club by two thugs.
The two kidnappers take him to an empty warehouse by the Gowanus Canal after trying to dump Jonathan into the polluted waters of that waterway. They demand twenty thousand dollars they believe he owes them for stealing the hard disk containing information they intended to use for extortion. Jonathan, who has no money, asks the them to let him call a friend.
When George receives the call, he decides to act right away. For that, they go to see a friend that sells firearms and other security equipment. George, not being a skilled shooter, fires a rubber bullet right to Ray's forehead, drawing the attention of the two men inside the warehouse. Both men are taken inside, where Jonathan figures the only way out is to ask his parents for the money.
Another funny episode in this surprisingly quirky series. Jonathan Ames, the creator of the show wrote the screenplay with Martin Gero and Michael Lehmann directed. The three principals, Jason Schartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis are the main reason for watching because they have great chemistry together. Richard Masur appears as Jonathan's father.
