(Whilst pointing to green screen) "That's gonna be awesome, later!"

This is the longer of the two featurettes on the regular DVD of The Spirit. It consists of interviews with cast and crew(including a little bit of Michael E. Uslan), behind the scenes footage, clips of the film, stills and art. This is done by Josh Oreck, who usually makes these(and remarkably well ones, at that) for the Wachowskis, and his talent shows here, as well; this is quite good, very informational, well-edited and concise. They talk about the story, the comic books and how they compare to the adaptation, Eisner, the noir(contemporary and otherwise), the choices in color, the style and of course the movie itself. The actors go into how it is to work all in front of green screen. I didn't love the picture itself, but this was entertaining and interesting nevertheless. Everyone has something to say, and we get insight into how it was to work on the thing, how it treats the source material and the relationship they had with Sin City. Miller describes himself working on this as being a kid in a candy store, which I think explains an awful lot about the finished product. This has a running time of 22 minutes, and it keeps to a nice pace throughout. There is a little moderate to strong language and violence in this. 7/10
