More mediocre stuff from WWE.
26 June 2010 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

Wade Barrett is out to big time heat from the crowd, and says the reason he's out here is that Bret Hart demanded an apology from him and his crew. The NXT rookies talk a little trash, while Cole and Lawler run from the booth until Bret Hart is out himself. Bret says they look pretty proud of themselves, and that 8 on 1 doesn't make them tough, it makes them cowards. Wade mentions that Daniel Bryan had some remorse too, and they'll never see Daniel Bryan again. Wade says he has a WWE contract and a title opportunity at a PPV of his choosing, while the other members have demands of their own. Bret asks what they are. Otunga says they all want guaranteed contracts, they want their own private dressing rooms and of course 1st class travel accommodations. Barret says Vince informed Brett that he'd have some tough decisions to make, and they could be the future of this company. Brett says they're right, but he's not going to sign any of the guys and fires Wade Barrett. Not a bad segment at all, Wade has the most potential out of all of them though.

3/5

Fatal Four Way match - United States Championship

R-Truth(C) vs John Morrison vs Zack Ryder vs The Miz. It moved fast, it had some exciting near falls, but it seemed to spotty and too rushed for my liking. Truth's reign is thankfully short as The Miz is once again the new United States Champion.

2/5

Josh is in the back with Randy Orton. Josh asks for an update on his shoulder. Big RKO chants while he's talking. Randy says anything can happen in a Fatal Four Way, but he predicts this Sunday another title will change hands. He says if there's any doubts about his shoulder, watch what he does to Sheamus. Josh asks him his thoughts about NXT. Part of Randy Orton respects what the NXT group did, if anyone knows about wanting to make an impact its him. But part of him thinks they are punks. They either deserve to be fired or have their brains beaten in. I'm glad they are keeping Orton's character in tact, but this was poor writing here.

2/5

A pointless segment between Mark Feurestein and The Big Show, where they run into The Bellas. It's announced it will be Mark&Show Vs Dibiase&Virgil.

0/5

Chris Jericho Vs Evan Bourne. Very good for the time it got, but too short to make an impact. I also didn't like how Evan kicked out of the code breaker. Jericho roughs up Bourne a bit, but Evan ends up hitting Air-Bourne.

2/5

John Cena cuts his typical "Show respect" promo about the NXT rookies, until they blind side him. WWE superstars are out in bunches, but Santino chases some off?!..right, ruined a lot of this segment. Orton, Edge and Sheamus even take part. Solid, but Santino running them off really shows lazy writing.

2 1/2 /5

Sheamus says if anyone's gonna take out John Cena, it's gonna be him.

Eve and Gail Kim Vs Alicia Fox and Maryse. Horrid doesn't even begin to describe this. The Divas division is worthless now a days. Eve wins with a miscommunication from the heels.

0/5

Cena requested that he compete tonight, so it will be him and Orton Vs Edge and Sheamus.

Big Show& Mark Feurestein Vs Ted Dibiase&Virgil. Does anyone even really care about the guest hosts?. I sure don't for the most part and this match really did my head in. Faces win, and afterwords Ted humiliates Virgil.

0/5

Special Ref Vladimir Kozlov.

William Regal Vs Santino. More comedic garbage from the WWE. Santino wins with a roll-up and a fast count from Kozlov. Kozlov and Regal start arguing. Bret asks for them all to get on stage to support the WWE superstars

0/5

Sheamus and Edge Vs John Cena and Randy Orton. Not bad, but typical main-event tag that happens too many times these days. Crowd was hot for Orton's offense near the end, and it flowed decently. Nobody wins because Bret is kidnapped by NXT and tortured by some driver who runs him ragged with him in the limo as the lights go out.

3/5

Bottom line. I've seen worse from Raw recently, but that sure isn't a compliment. The NXT stuff is good, rest is passable or junk.

4/10
