Plot Summary

  • Eric Has Lost His Voice. Other sketches include 'The Connoisseurs: Wine Tasting', 'Ernie is interviewed for TV show "Authors Of Our Time", with Ernie's latest play "Murder In Mayfair" plus classic clips from his best plays. There is music from special guest Wilma Reading.

  • The show opens with Eric suffering with laryngitis. He does the opening using a tape recorder. Ernie then brings out his tape recorder, and finally Arthur Tolcher does the same. A.J. Brown hosts 'The Connoisseurs' where Eric and Ernie talk about some wines. Wilma Reading sings "When You Smile". The BBC is to do a film interview of Ernie with Richard Baker for his work as an author. Ernie's latest play is 'Murder in Mayfair'. Eric gives a short version of "Row, Row, Row".
