Trivia:
Tony Curran also co-starred as Marcus Corvinus in the Underworld movies. In the films, as a vampire hybrid, he could transform to and from his human form into a more animal-like form. In this episode, many of the people at his character's residence/fetish club "transformed" into various animals, specifically acting out fantasies as dogs and cats.See more »
Goofs:
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): As Sara Sidle is testing the stun gun on a mannequin, the evidence sheet lists the charge as "ASSUALT/HOMOCIDE" (as opposed to "ASSAULT/HOMICIDE"). An investigator of Sidle's experience would not make such an error.See more »
Quotes:
Dr. Tyrell Neth:The idea of animal transformation - therianthropy - is as ancient as mankind itself. In native cultures, young males gain an animal spirit at puberty. Often the initiate must kill his spirit animal, consume it as a right of passage.
Dr. Raymond Langston:Yes I'm familiar with the concept but umm... my understanding of therianthropy is that it's fleeting, it's meant to be symbolic. In many cultures, the notion of retaining the shape of the beast is seen as nothing less than a curse.
Sara Sidle:Cat got your tongue? Maybe you could loosen it enough to tell us about Iona Vail.

Two Stories: One Fair, One Good, 19 March 2012
Author: ccthemovieman-1 from United States

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

There are two stories in this episode, both involving women who were killed One is a little too far out (what episode with the infamous "Lady Heather" isn't?) while the other one turned out to be topical and something teens can relate to in this Internet and texting age.

The first story has women acting like cats, crawling on all fours and hissing. Nuff said.

The second story has a teen hanging in her closet. It looks like an obvious suicide, but is it? To "Nick" and ME "Doc Robbins," who discover the girl after a frantic neighbor leads them there, the real shock is that the dead woman has an eight-and-a-half month baby in her abdomen. Can the baby be saved? Well, with "Doc" there, the answer is "Yes." Nick is totally impressed and tells Doc later was a "good man" he is.

This story was the much better story of the two and made the viewing worthwhile.
