Storyline
Nick isn't killed by a booby trap because of a call he gets from Jason McCann, whose beloved big brother he got convicted for murder. However the knave was watching and his cult leader is murdered, but that crime site proves a minefield even bomb squad expert Kip Woodman finds impossible to defuse safely. Army-trained accomplice Timothy Johnson enters the field. Serial killer Nate Haskell is finally on trial and fires his appointed attorney to plead his own defense, a controversial genetic defect, ignoring Langston has the same mutation. Written by

Goofs
It is said that a grenade contained benzoyl benzoate, and that it is acetone. This is wrong. Benzoyl benzoate is the ester of benzoic acid and benzoyl alcohol. Acetone is the same as propanone, the simplest ketone. It lacks any aromatic units such as found in benzoyl benzoate. Also, ketones are distinguished by lack one oxygen atom from the defining bridge structure of esters.

Dr. Langston" has to deal with the insane killer "Nate Haskell" once again when the latter is on trial.
Bill Irwin does a great job of playing the highly intelligent-but-nuts "Haskell." He is riveting in all his scenes.
Meanwhile, teen idol Justin Bieber ("Jason McCann") is back playing a kid seeking revenge on the death of his older brother (see episode one of this season's series.) Nick, primarily, deals with him. Bieber actually does decent job of acting in here, although his wholesome looks just don't go with his character in this story.
Between the two stories, the episode as a whole is an interesting one.
