Walker holidays
4 October 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

It's obvious that the show had a tighter budget during its final year. I don't think there's been one episode this season where all the cast members listed in the opening credits have appeared...usually someone is absent. This time it was Luc who was off-canvas. It was explained that he's out of the country. But one character whose absence during the Walker holidays was not explained is Tommy. In the dream sequence, he was mentioned (but not shown). However, when we returned to the real-life goings-on of the Walker clan at Christmas, we did not get any reason about why Tommy was not there celebrating with them. Couldn't there at least have been a moment where someone's phone rang and it was Tommy calling, saying either his flight was delayed or he had a last-minute emergency of some kind? I liked Sarah's subplot...essentially she's a Scrooge in this episode. (Don't fret: she has a last-minute change of heart.)
