Mila Kunis, Adam Scott, Mark Wahlberg in Seth MacFarlane’s Ted

20 December 2010 6:42 AM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

Mila Kunis and Adam Scott are in negotiations to join the cast of an upcoming Universal and Media Rights Capital’s comedy titled Ted that will be directed by Seth MacFarlane.

Kunis and MacFarlane already work on TV’s Family Guy, so we completely understand and absolutely love his choice (you agree, right?)

Ted is about a guy who wishes as a boy for his teddy bear to come to life, but twenty-five years later, he’s developed a dislike for him.

Mila Kunis will play the girlfriend of the main character, who wants their relationship to go to the next level, which requires losing the bear. In her frustration she looks for solace from her “cad of a boss,” who would be played by Adam Scott.

And, at this moment we know that Mark Wahlberg is in talks to star in the movie as well, and here’s what »

Mila Kunis, Adam Scott Join MacFarlane’s ‘Ted’

16 December 2010 1:17 PM, PST | newsinfilm.com | See recent newsinfilm news »

Mila Kunis and Adam Scott have joined the cast of “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane’s directorial feature debut Ted, alongside Mark Wahlberg.

The R-rated comedy centers on the “bromance” between Mark (Wahlberg) and his talking teddy bear, Ted (voiced by MacFarlane), the miraculous product of Mark’s boyhood wish.

In a reunion of the two Max Payne leads, Kunis, who provides the voice of Meg on “Family Guy,” will play Wahlberg’s girlfriend, Lori, who gets fed up with Ted’s cursing, drinking and pot smoking and forces the developmentally-stunted Mark to separate from Ted.

When Mark and Lori break up after a night of his drunken debauchery, she agrees to date her boss, Rex, an obnoxious, persistent creep with an odd fetish.  Scott, best known for his starring roles on the short-lived series “Party Down” and NBC’s “Parks and Recreation,” will play the boss, according to the Hollywood Reporter. »

Mila Kunis and Adam Scott In Talks for Seth MacFarlane’s Ted

15 December 2010 8:51 AM, PST | MoviesOnline.ca | See recent MoviesOnline news »

I hate everything Seth MacFarlane is producing these days ever since Family Guy returned to TV and proved a pathetic parody of its former self. However, I think MacFarlane is a funny guy (just look at his Twitter) and I’m really curious to see how he fares making his live action directorial debut, Ted. Ted is the story of how [...] »

Mila Kunis Might Be Getting Cozy with ‘Ted’

14 December 2010 4:08 PM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Update: The Golden Globe nominee tells MTV Movies Blog that her participation in this Seth MacFarlane-directed film is not a done deal.

“It’s a really great script,” she says. “If time permits and scheduling works out, I’d love to do it… It’s all just a matter of timing.”

She did, however, participate in the table read with Mark Wahlberg.

——————————————–

After delivering one of the most acclaimed dramatic performances of the year, what does a girl do next?

Go back to her comedic roots, of course. And that’s exactly what Mila Kunis (fresh off her chilling role in “Black Swan”) has in mind.

Kunis is in talks to join Universal’s new comedy, “Ted,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Helming the project as writer and director is “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane—and since Kunis is the voice of Meg on the popular show, this pairing comes as no surprise. »

Mila Kunis To Join Mark Wahlberg Teddy Bear Movie?

14 December 2010 1:46 PM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Meg Griffin in real life? MTV is reporting that 'Black Swan' star -- and long time 'Family Guy' voice -- Mila Kunis is in talks to join Mark Wahlberg in Seth MacFarlane's live action comedy, 'Ted.'

The film, about a cute teddy bear come to life that grows and, now a grungy drug addict, tortures Wahlberg in his adulthood.

After The Hollywood Reporter wrote earlier on Tuesday that Kunis had been confirmed for the part, MTV spoke with the actress, who put the brakes on that rumor.

"It's a script that I read that Seth is directing. I read it on and off for two years through different rewrites. It's a really great script," she said.

"If time permits and scheduling works out I'd love to do it. I don't even know if there's a set date. I know Wahlberg and I did a table read and he was great. »

Mila Kunis and Adam Scott to Give Bear Hugs

14 December 2010 11:45 AM, PST | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg didn't exactly make for box office magic when they teamed up for Max Payne, but the duo may be giving it another shot. Kunis is circling a role in Ted - that comedy I told you about where Wahlberg can't escape a grown teddy bear. Since Ted is Seth McFarlane's film and Kunis is a regular on Family Guy, it's not surprising to see her name attached to the project. There's also a bonus: Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott is eying the movie, too. »

Exclusive: Mila Kunis Hasn't Joined Seth MacFarlane's 'Ted' Just Yet

14 December 2010 10:54 AM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

When "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane decided to make the jump to the big screen with a live-action comedy about a man with a teddy bear sidekick, we knew it would be be big. The film, called "Ted" (and, previously, "Teddy Bear") already has Mark Wahlberg attached to play the lead, a normal guy from Boston who just happens to have a stuffed best friend. And now MacFarlane is looking to round-up some supporting stars.

Chief among them is Mila Kunis, who has voiced Meg Griffin on "Family Guy" for 10 years now. Last night, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Kunis was in negotiations for a part in the film... but when MTV News rang her up for comment this morning, she told us that nothing is set in stone just yet.

"I found out about it from an email that a friend of mine sent me," Kunis said »

Mila Kunis & Adam Scott are WanTED

14 December 2010 9:08 AM, PST | kidspickflicks | See recent kidspickflicks news »

Mila Kunis (just nominated for a Golden Globe for Black Swan) and Adam Scott (Leap Year) are in negotiations to join Mark Wahlberg (also just nominated for a Golden Globe for The Fighter) in Seth Macfarlane's Ted. The Universal Pictures/Mrc movie is about a guy whose birthday wish when he was a kid came true: for his teddy bear and best friend to come to life. But 25 years later, the teddy bear is now a foul-mouthed, smoking, troublemaker who is preventing the guy (Wahlberg) from growing up.

Kunis would play Wahlberg's girlfriend who wants him to get away from Ted and make a committment to her. Scott would play her slimeball boss whom she turns to for comfort.

Macfarlane, the creator of Family Guy and American Dad, will voice Ted.

Mila Kunis, Adam Scott To Join Mark Wahlberg in Seth Macfarlane’s ‘Ted’

14 December 2010 8:18 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Having reported that Mark Wahlberg will be starring in Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane‘s feature debut Ted, more casting news has surfaced from CinemaBlend, via THR. Longtime Family Guy alumnus Mila Kunis (Black Swan, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the voice of Meg Griffin on Fg) and laconic funnyman Adam Scott (Parks & Recreation, Party Down) are in talks to join Wahlberg in the surreal-sounding buddy comedy.

According to reports, Kunis could play Wahlberg’s girlfriend, whose attempts to propel their relationship to the next level are thwarted by Wahlberg’s best friend, a foul-mouthed, real-life teddy bear. Adam Scott might play her “cad of a boss,” who she turns to in her vulnerable state.

This would be Scott’s first collaboration with Macfarlane, while he and Kunis go way back. This is one of those projects which could turn out to be inspired or an utter disaster. Macfarlane’s creations – Family Guy, »

Adam Scott and the Other 'Black Swan' Up for Macfarlane's 'Ted'

13 December 2010 11:05 PM, PST | GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news »

A while back, we reported that the upcoming star of The Fighter, Mark Wahlberg, was in talks to star in “Family Guy” creator Seth Macfarlane’s live-action directorial debut, Ted.  The film was formerly (or might still be) called Teddy Bear, but the new moniker makes the storyline no less ridiculous.  It’s still about a guy who finds his best friend in the guise of a racist, potty-mouthed teddy bear.  While at first it was a weird concept with an odd choice for a star, now Macfarlane is in talks to add some decent comedy clout to the mix.

It's just foxy enough to work.

Mila Kunis, most recently seen in likely Oscar contender Black Swan, is in talks to take on the role of Wahlberg’s girlfriend, who would love to see their relationship progress, if it weren’t for the creepy friendship her boyfriend has with his teddy bear. »

Mila Kunis Joins Mark Wahlberg in Seth MacFarlane's Movie 'Ted'?

13 December 2010 10:56 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

We recently learned that Mark Wahlberg will definitely be leading the R-rated comedy Ted from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. The story follows an average Boston guy who's normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear would come to life — and it did. Years later, as an adult, the bear (voiced by MacFarlane) is still around as his best friend but has become a carousing, irresponsible slacker who gets in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and a girl he loves. The cast is now growing, as Heat Vision reports Mila Kunis (Black Swan) and Adam Scott (Step Brothers, "Party Down") are joining the comedy. Kunis will play Wahlberg's girlfriend who just wants to take their relationship to the next level, but finds difficulty with Ted's overbearing nature and general douchebaggery. Scott will be playing her slimy boss who "comforts" her in this »
