New Images from and Synopses for ‘Bullet to the Head,’ ‘Rock of Ages,’ ‘Project X,’ and ‘The Apparition’

26 December 2011 8:18 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

As the year draws to a close, Warner Bros. is beginning to look forward, as they’ve provided a few new images and synopses for choice options in their 2012 slate. This crop, only a small portion of their offerings for the next twelve months, consists of Bullet to the Head, Rock of Ages, Project X, and The Apparition. Nothing exhibited here is a big revelation for those who’ve been following the films for a few months — although I did learn that a movie titled “The Apparition” is coming out — but a new picture or two never hurt anybody. Now, let’s get down to business.

Up above you can see the picture for Bullet; you can read the specifics below.

In theaters on April 13

Director: Walter Hill

Writers: Screenplay by Alessandro Camon

Based on the graphic novel Bullet to the Head, written by Matz and illustrated by Colin Wilson

Producer: Joel Silver, »

Ringing in the new year? Details and more photos below, so mark the ones that interest you on your calendar. "Bullet To The Head" Directed by Walter Hill ("The Warriors," "48 Hrs." "The Driver"), "Bullet To The Head" stars Sylvester Stallone, Sung Kang and has an April 13 release date. New Images and Official Synopses for Project X, Bullet To The Head, Rock Of Ages and The Apparition

25 December 2011 12:52 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Warner Bros. has released new images and official synopses for director Nima Nourizadeh's Project X, Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head, Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages, and Todd Lincoln's The Apparition.  While we've already seen an extremely funny trailer for Project X (which was produced by Todd Phillips) and a mediocre first trailer for Rock of Ages, WB has yet to release any footage from Bullet to the Head (which stars a shirtless Sylvester Stallone) and The Apparition (which was originally scheduled for release last year).  With these first images being released, I'd imagine we'll be getting the first trailers very soon.  As a big fan of Walter Hill (48 Hours, Brewster's Millions, The Warriors, The Driver), I'm really hoping Bullet to the Head is awesome.  Hit the jump for more. Warner Bros' upcoming teen party flick from producers Phillips, Joel Silver & Nima Nourizadeh features a cast of completely unknown actors (all over the age of 18) and takes audiences through a first person perspective of the entire film. “Project X” is an out-of-control comedy that follows a group of buds who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever. The film documents a high school party that gets completely out of control, shot from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them. »

New UK poster for teen comedy ‘Project X’

19 November 2011 4:02 AM, PST | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

Project X is a brand new teen comedy produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix) and The Hangover director Todd Phillips. Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, the film stars Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper and Jonathan Daniel Brown and follows a group of friends who set out to throw the most epic 17th birthday party ever, which as usual gets completely out of control.

The film is apparently shot “Blair Witch style” from the perspective of the digital cameras that the kids have with them… Check out the trailer here.

Posters for ‘The Expendables 2’ (‘Ex 2’?), ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,’ and ‘Project X’

18 November 2011 9:45 PM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Everyone knows that the primary appeal of the Expendables series is the grouping of aging, out-of-their-depth action stars as they sit around for 100 minutes and talk about all the badass, offscreen things they’ve done. The latest poster for The Expendables 2 — or Ex 2, as they call it here — which comes to us courtesy of JoBlo, is basically the still version of that. Oh, this collection of testosterone-fueled killers — Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, I think Nan Yu, and Mr. Chuck Norris — is like some dream come true for lovers of ’80s entries into the genre, but this is probably going to be terrible. Sorry, Simon West.

You can see the poster below, and the film when it hits on August 17th, 2012:

JoBlo also has a pair of posters/pieces of artwork for Neveldine and Taylor‘s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, »

New Poster Round-Up: 'The Expendables 2,' 'Project X' And 'Ghost Rider'

18 November 2011 3:43 PM, PST | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

It's another edition of "Poster Wars" or some variation of it. It's not the most commonplace occurrence in the world. If it were a television show, viewers would have lost interest by now. Typically, posters hit one at a time and are accompanied by a very enthusiastic press release, but not today. Collider has scoured the internet (well, at least two sites) and come up with new looks at a few upcoming features. As it was deemed worthy of first billing, the first poster from JoBlo is for director Simon West's sequel to Sylvester Stallone's action star mash-up, 'The Expendables.' It's being called 'Ex 2,' not to be confused with 'X2' or 'xXx 2.' The poster displays the film's selling point: more action stars than the mind can grasp. Even though it's 2011, commence with the Chuck Norris jokes if you must. The film hits theaters on August 17, 2012. Early in the month, »

First Posters for The Expendables 2 and Project X; New Poster Art for Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance

18 November 2011 12:46 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

We’ve got a few new posters to share with you today. First up is the poster debut for the all-star action pic The Expendables 2. It showcases all the badasses you can expect to see in the movie Toy Story 3-style (thank God they didn’t go the New Year’s Eve route). It’s not a bad poster, and it’s effective in informing audiences that Chuck Norris will always look like Walker Texas Ranger no matter the hat.  We’ve also got the first poster for producer Todd Phillips’ party balls comedy Project X. The trailer is a bit insane, as the film centers on a group of kids who decide to throw a party. With Phillips involved, you can go ahead and assume that things will get more than a little out of hand.  Additionally, we’ve got some pretty nifty poster art for the sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. »

One helluva party on this Project X poster

Most found-footage films are horror flicks for the simple reason that if the footage was found, there generally wasn't a filmmaker alive to go along with it. Project X takes the style of those flicks and injects it int the most unlikeliest of genres- a teen sex comedy.  Directed by Nima Nourizadeh and produced by Todd Brown (The Hangover), Project X tells the story of a house party that gets out of hand. The film stars a lot of twenty-somethings playing impossibly »

Warner Bros. have released a new UK poster for their party movie, Project X. The movie shows the kind of carnage that can happen when your parents go away and leave you with a house to trash! We’re however wondering if this persona is drunk as the cups around him would suggest or is he dead?!

Project X is produced by the man behind The Hangover movies, Director Todd Phillips although with this one, he takes a Producing credit. Nima Nourizadeh directs this one with a cast that includes Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Dax Flame, Nichole Bloom, Alex Rose Wiesel and Alexis Knapp.
