4 Hall of Famers in the top 5 draft picks
2 February 2012 | by (St. Louis, MO) – See all my reviews

Tony Mandarich had to ruin what could have been a perfect top 5 of hall of famers being drafted in the NFL Draft. Troy Aikman #1 by the Cowboys, Barry Sanders #3 by the Lions, Derrick Thomas #4 by the Chiefs and Deion Sanders #5 by the Falcons all made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Which 4 out of the 5 is pretty damn amazing in its own right. Aikman won 3 super bowls, B. Sanders was one of the greatest RB's of all time, Derrick Thomas one of the best Outside LB's ever and Neon Deion one of the best cornerbacks and kick returners in NFL history.

Other notable first round picks that year was Steve Atwater at #20 by the Broncos and Andre Rison at #22 by the Colts.
