Storyline

Laura Williams is beaten to death with furious force, just after her and husband Chuck's 20 wedding anniversary. A video camera found on site recorded her walking in on Chuck's apparently intimate conversation with their son, Cody's, history teacher, who is convinced control freak Laura physically abused the kids, which Cody and sister Andrea ultimately confirm. Eric is most uncomfortable when the prosecutor's office charges him with checking up the CSI staff's personal finances after the diamond theft from the evidence room. $25,000 is found on Walter's account. Quotes

Lieutenant Horatio Caine: [seeing their victim at the crime scene] Dr. Loman. I think we can safely say "overkill".
Dr. Tom Loman: Absolutely brutal. She was struck at least nine times, with so much force and velocity that each blow on its own could have been fatal.
Lieutenant Horatio Caine: What about a murder weapon?
Dr. Tom Loman: Not sure yet. But judging from her injuries and the varying direction of the blood spatter, whoever did this was swinging wildly, from several different directions and angles.
Lieutenant Horatio Caine: And totally out of control.
Dr. Tom Loman: And fueled by rage.
Lieutenant Horatio Caine: Yes. Someone... was ...

The Kids Are Not All Right
28 April 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Who killed "Mommie Dearest?" That's the question in this episode after it is divulged that a mother is clubbed to death outside of her house. It turns out she was a child-abuser to her two kids: a 13-year-old girl and 10-year-old.

The first suspect, naturally, is the husband but CSI always has at least several perps that could be guilty, so even the kids or a boyfriend of the older girl are all suspects. To me, it looked like one of the kids, but I'm wrong half the time.

In the side story, "Eric Delko," working for the state, is still investigating who could have walked off with $100,000 diamonds at the CSI building. He's not happy doing this, of course, because he total faith in his ex-comrades. I suppose that story will go down to the last episode so that they can eliminate an employee while "Delko" comes back next year....but I could be wrong on that count, too. I hope that isn't the case, because I like this cast, including the new guys.
