Storyline

When Avery points out the peculiarity of Jack and Liz's bond, he vows to set some boundaries. With Jack keeping his distance, Liz is left to deal with her father's attempt to recapture his youth during a visit. Meanwhile, Tracy enlists Kenneth's help to reinvent himself after viewing his own pre-produced video obituary. Much to Jenna's dismay, she finds out that no one has shot her video, so she decides to make it herself. Written by NBC Publicity

Quotes

Jack Donaghy: Well, certainly you can't be surprised that there's a lot of negative stuff about you out there. Don't you ever Google yourself?
Tracy Jordan: Sure, I Google myself all the time. Like when Angie's not in the mood, or I'm alone in a hotel.
Jack Donaghy: ...Uh, Tracy, you do know that Googling yourself means looking yourself up on the Internet.
Tracy Jordan: I did not know that. That explains why Liz Lemon was so cool the other day.
Tracy Jordan: [Cutaway] Liz Lemon, you mind if I Google myself in your office?
Liz Lemon: Sure, Tracy.
Tracy Jordan: Can I use your computer?

Gentleman's Intermission (#5.6)
8 December 2013 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Avery is uncomfortable with the mentor relationship Jack and Liz have and tells them to stop. Liz has trouble without him knowing that her dad is in town now taking a break from his marriage and Jack also can't live without it, looking for someone new to mentor. In the meantime Tracy sees his obituary and is upset about it while Jenna is mad that she has no obituary at all.

A great episode. Love the relationship of Jack and Liz. It is also great to see Jack testing the rest of the team if they can have him as a mentor and have everyone fail. Many great scenes.

The obituary story is very funny as well, especially when Jenna suggests that hers should have her shop lifting story in it because her arms looked great.
