Storyline
Penny's father, Wyatt, is in Pasadena for a visit. Leonard learns that Penny told her father that she and Leonard got back together again, as Leonard is the one and only of her boyfriends of who he has ever approved. Leonard agrees to go along with the ruse, but much against Penny's chagrin, he does so on his terms and not hers. But what would happen if Wyatt found out the truth? Sheldon, believing that Leonard and Penny have indeed gotten back together, decides to amend their roommate agreement to compensate for the Penny factor. Meanwhile, Raj has finally been allocated time to monitor a high powered telescope for twelve hours, and he invites Howard along, who in turn invites Bernadette. Raj is initially peeved at Bernadette's presence since he he doesn't feel like he can drink (to be able to speak to her) and monitor the telescope at the same time. Trivia
Bernadette says that Howard constantly uses the joke that his fortune cookie says, "Help. I am a prisoner is a fortune cookie factory." Goofs
Sheldon asks Raj if he's sure he has enough "Comics", while in the second season episode 20, when Penny asks if they could pick up a few "comics" for her nephew, Sheldon replies "I think you mean "comic books". "Comics" are feeble attempts at humor featuring talking babies and anthropomorphized pets found traditionally in the optimistically named funny pages.".

Raj Koothrappali:
Not if it has a hole in the middle.
Howard Wolowitz:
What kind of space ship has a hole in the middle?

In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory" from last season: Leonard goes to Penny's apartment and finds a middle-aged man there. Turns out he's her father (Keith Carradine) and he's just been told his daughter and Leonard are back together. So when Penny intros them, she also plants a big one on Leonard! When Sheldon hears of this, he concludes she's "coocoo for Coco Puffs". Meanwhile, Raj and Howard are spending 13 hours at Raj's lab for some telescope sighting. Besides Indian Monopoly, Battleship, and 7 hours worth of comic books, Howard also invited Bernadette along who brought some champaign to help Raj talk to her. Actually, she brought a second bottle which may have been one too many...This is another very funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory" especially when Raj and Bernadette start impersonating Howard's mother. And what about Wyatt's (Penny's dad) going on about Leonard's positive attributes compared to his daughter's previous boyfriends especially the one who tried to get beer pong in the Olympics. So on that note, "The Boyfriend Complexity" ep of "The Big Bang Theory" is highly recommended.
