Storyline

When Homer inadvertently humiliates Bart in front of a stadium crowd, Marge encourages Homer to enroll in a fathering enrichment class taught by therapist Dr. Zander. Shocked to learn that Homer often strangles Bart for mischievous behavior, Dr. Zander conducts a series of treatments with the help of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to teach Homer what it feels like to be young and small. But when Bart learns that the therapy sessions have transformed Homer into a pushover, he takes advantage of Homer and becomes a school bully. Hoping therapy could also cure Bart of his bullying habits, Marge enlists Dr. Zander's help to patch their relationship. Written by Fox Publicity

Terrific episode with Paul Rudd and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Great Guest Roles,
19 April 2011 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Love Is A Many Strangled Thing is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. This is without a doubt one of the best of the twenty second season,I loved the drama between Homer and Bart in this,it is very funny and we've never seen them in this position on the show previously.I loved Paul Rudd's character,he was without a doubt one of the episodes highlights,I also liked Kareem Abdul- Jabbar's appearance as himself and seeing him treat Homer the same way he treats Bart was hilarious.Love is a Many Strangled Thing is a stellar episode.

After embarrassing Bart at a baseball game,Homer is forced by Marge to take a parenting class. It works but Homer starts to become scared of Bart and Homer lets him do anything around him without punishment.
