Marge goes gray,
lesleyharris3019 April 2011
The Blue And The Gray is a great Simpsons episode, funniest part when Lisa says that Jessica Simpson is her cousin.

When Marge discovers her first grey hair, her hairdresser tells her that she has grey hair all over but he was just hiding it with blue dye,Marge decides to go completely gray and feels that the whole family are happy about it,but they are actually disgusted.

Meanwhile Moe realises that he can only find a woman if he has a wing man to make him look good so he gets his buddy Homer to do so,but a lot of the women also start to fall for him.

A decent episode

There are definitely better episodes than this one, but in my opinion The Blue and the Gray probably had one of the best visual gags of the series, where Selma and Patty revealed there hair is gray because it is really just smoke. It was hilarious to me and very memorable

Close to being weak, but saved by its subtle humor and plot

It's hard to rate "The Blue and the Gray" episode of The Simpsons. The storyline itself is quite simple, but on the other hand, there are some great jokes surrounding Marge's decision not to dye her hair. At the time of its release, it may have felt like a weak episode for those who missed the show's golden era, but now it can be seen as a satisfying episode. The subplot with Moe and Homer as a wingman is also decent. Overall, it's a passable episode, but with some good humor and storyline aspects worth exploring, which make it a bit better than average. While it may not be one of the strongest episodes in the series, it is still a solid addition to the show's later seasons. In the end, it's worth watching for the humor and storyline elements that make it an enjoyable viewing experience.

This episode wasn't that bad

When i watched this episode yesterday on www.hulu.com i thought a valentines day episode of The Simpsons, that's not going to be funny, until i saw what this episode was about, it wasn't that bad, i wasn't really in to the Marge Simpson Gray hair story, but the Homer Wing man, got me interested again!! Okay Episode! Hopefully the next one is a little better!! I did however think that Marge's witch look at the end was very clever. I cant believe Moe makes out with girls in this one, its unreal. Homer was a good Wing man, i enjoyed seeing him flourt with other woman. I loved the ending credits, were Maggie and Baby Jerold kiss!! Creepy but cute, nice work to all the people who made the Simpsons possible!!!!

Very misoginistic episode, one of those with homer at his worst, on a season that so far was doing good in that regard.

Such an awful episode, you know what the punchline is from minute one, marge is old and has a gray hair, so funny.

Homer is beyond disgusted, athe show indulges in dehumanising marge for choosing to skip to colour her hair, going as far to mock her as a "witch" makeover, and making homer be repulsed by her just showing her face.

It isn't funny. You know were it's going from minute one, and since it isn't a funny punchline in the first place, you just want to skip it. Plus, it has an awful message with that ending, which speaks of the producers deplorable views on women.and it's also unfair to homer honestly; he has shown over and over again that he loves marge no matter what even if he is less than bright. But in this episode it's like: NO, you either dye your hair blue or i'll vomit each time i see you.

Great job guys.

Pretty misoginistic and unfuny, both.

The only funny lines were the kid's trying to find their hairlines and bart going to therapy. I wish they had spent more time in that story line; it's genuinly funny when they point it out, and it's more clever than just "isn0t it funny that nobody will remotely like marge just because she is a human and ages? Isn't it funny that she is forced to dye her hair for the rest of her life or risk the whole town plus her family vomiting at her sight?
