Storyline

After undoing Sue's travel sabotage, the Glee Club arrives in New York. They still have to write original songs, but use inspiration as excuse to wander around first. Broadway is Kurt and Rachel's dream, so they wonder trough Manhattan. Will is found out tasting a solo part, but decides to stick to teaching. Although Fin dropped his girl-friend for her, Rachel decides to give her 'career' priority. That leads to him kissing her on stage, possibly the reason they don't make the final ten. Trivia

The music playing over the first scene, in which Rachel stands in Times Square thrilled to be in New York City, is from George Gershwin's 1924 composition "Rhapsody in Blue." Although Gershwin wrote a great deal of classic Broadway music, this piece is more often performed by symphony orchestras; its association with New York City and Broadway instead comes from its use in the opening montage of New York scenes in Woody Allen's movie Manhattan (1979). Quotes

Rachel Berry: Being in New York is like falling in love. Over and over again, every minute. Tonight felt like one of those awesome nights that you see in those amazing romantic comedies. All we need now is some street singers to senerade behind us to make it perfect.
Finn Hudson: [the other boys in Glee club sings "Bella Notte" behind them] Wait... This is the moment in those romantic comedies where I kiss you.

the duet needed to go last
31 August 2015 | by See all my reviews

this is a good episode and am happy they made it. Hopefully they will make it and win next time, but it may be without Finn. I have not seen any further episodes and really do not want to see the last episode of Cory because he made the character good. I think they should have the duet last. Make everything exciting, then their duet, dips her and kisses her. It makes it a big"I forgive you" thing, kiss of the century. It has been coming for a long time because he truly loves her. She wants to go to NY and become a big star, but when you think about her birth mom and what she had to give up, that should have been a lesson. take Finn to NY. He supports her, was a better boyfriend and will always protect her. A girl can't ask for more.
