Storyline

When Brittany and the gang try to convince Mr. Schuester to let them do a Britney Spears number, he is reluctant to go that edgy. Meanwhile, an insecure Will is curious about Emma's new beau, Dr. Carl Howell, so he convinces her to bring him in to talk to the kids about dental hygiene. While the dreamy doc inspires the girls to take their dental health more seriously, Will is left feeling worse than before. Written by Fox Publicity

Quotes

Rachel Berry: Hey, you all right? You seem a little down. Didn't you like the banana bread I baked you?
Finn Hudson: Yeah, it was awesome. It's just... how do you feel about me not being on the football team anymore?
Rachel Berry: I'm actually kind of happy about it. That I don't have to fantasize about what song I'd sing at your bedside if you were in a coma.
Finn Hudson: Yeah. I'm just so not cool now, you know?
Rachel Berry: Well, it's just less of a chance of you running off with some cheerleader.
Finn Hudson: Wait, so you want me to feel bad about myself?
Rachel Berry: No, I just......

"Britney/Brittany" was another "Glee" episode that was entertainingly all over the place
22 October 2010 | by See all my reviews

In this episode of "Glee": John Stamos makes his first appearance as Emma's new boyfriend, Carl, a dentist. Finn and Rachel struggle with their relationship. And everyone in the glee club seems Britney Spears-crazy...This was another over-the-top ep of "Glee" that was both hilarious and a little cringe-worthy at the same time but, as usual, the musical numbers were often entertaining enough to make things go down easier. The funniest lines, as always, came from Sue Sylvester and Brittany S. Piece especially when the latter compared herself to Britney Spears in pronunciation of their names. I also was LOL when Rachel mentioned her previous incarnation as Sandy at the end of Grease in comparing herself when dressed as Britney from the "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" video. Only two more episodes to watch before next Tuesday's Rocky Horror tribute premieres...
