- Travis has a week left at home before college, but decides to move early to settle in. That forces Jules to shorten her melancholic program, making it worse for him. Bobby get Travis's old notebook as a goodbye present and makes them see sense.—KGF Vissers

- It's Quarters with wine instead of beer and everybody is being greeted like the chefs in a Benihana greet you. Which ticks off Grayson (Josh Hopkins), so naturally they'll only do that to him. Travis (Dan Byrd) leaves for college in a week and everybody is getting sentimental, even Ellie (Christa Miller). In fact, she's so sad, she managed to parlay that into getting Tom the perverted neighbor (he put his hand down Jules' jeans last year) to mow her lawn. Granted, it was because Tom heard her talking on the phone and misinterpreted it to think her baby died, but whatevs. Bobby (Brian Van Holt) tells Travis he'll miss them to and they enjoy a last day of fishing...in the parking lot...near the highway. And Bobby loses another fishing rod to a bus. But Travis gives him a going-away present: his old laptop computer. Because you know that won't end badly.
Jules (Courteney Cox) is naturally the most upset, but she has a week, and she's prepared the entire coping machine, including wearing a macaroni necklace she made with him when he was one, spending the whole day with him, and intentionally risking their lives on a motorcycle so Travis will be forced to hold her tightly.
At the restaurant, Jules is being sentimental about Travis, mostly to get Barb's weekly wildly-inappropriate banter out of her head. This prompts Andy (Ian Gomez) to tell a story about Stan...over Ellie's protests, as she hates saying any kind of baby stories, which means Andy can't say them either. He defies her and says how cute it is when Stan blows bubbles. Ellie is mad. But not as mad as Jules when Travis stops by to announce he's going to college several days earlier to get himself acclimated. She is very upset, and Laurie (Busy Philipps) and Ellie encourage her to go to her crazy place. She just needs to slap out of it. Not snap...slap. And Grayson finds out the hard way not to correct her on this.
As Laurie tries to teach Bobby how to use his new laptop (which he doesn't realize does not work like the computers on the Enterprise), Jules has Travis in a full-nelson of memories, since she has to squeeze 5 days of coping into one. Travis is somewhat less than thrilled, but he's not the only one without a will to live. Ellie took away eye contact with Andy as his punishment, and Ellie's eye contact is quite hypnotic according to Grayson. (Think of the "sharing" scene in Cocoon (1985).) Andy's idea is to get Stan to walk so that Ellie will have no choice but to talk about her child. Ellie doesn't want to tell stories because she wants to tell all of them, and she's afraid of turning into one of those women who do nothing but live for their kids, almost like another Jules. But Andy, with help from Laurie and Grayson performing a fake murder-suicide at the thought of Ellie telling baby stories, tell her she is too superficial and mean to ever turn into a woman with a sensible haircut and jeans up to her armpits. She's touched and forgives Andy, just in time to go home and see Stan actually take his first steps.
Bobby takes to the Internet like the nerds in the cafe take to Laurie's "nip slip" she treats them to, and Travis wants to go out with the guys on his last night. Jules will not take that lying down, obviously, and Travis thinks she's being selfish. Jules can't believe he said that after she bought him all of his clothes and meals. He takes off for college right then.
Jules locates Bobby, who was sucked into watching funny online videos. She's mad at him for not showing up for dinner the previous night, but Bobby explained he gave his goodbyes to Travis the prior day...or at least as much as he could muster. He was taking lessons on using the computer from Laurie so he could learn how to email Travis. And of course, Travis is only twenty minutes away, which he reminds her of when Bobby and she go to visit Travis. He goes back and gives everybody a proper goodbye. And Jules gets the "meaningful glance" and "I love you" from Travis that she really wanted.
And sure enough, Ellie telling baby stories makes everyone (including Jules) want to blow their brains out, so she's safe.
