Storyline

Rick tries to make contact with Morgan to tell him his location. Back at camp, after the fight with the zombies, Jim has been bitten and is slowly beginning to change; Andrea mourns over Amy's death; and Shane blames it all on Rick for leaving. Now that camp isn't safe anymore, Rick decides that it's time for them all to move out. He plans to take them to the C.D.C., a military base, to find a cure for Jim and, hopefully, more survivors. Goofs

As the group was approaching the CDC, in the sandbag enclosure to the right there appeared to be a DShK Heavy Machine Gun on a tripod. As this weapon was built & fielded by the Soviet Union & other Eastern Bloc countries, chances are pretty good that the US troops guarding the CDC as civilization collapsed around them would not be using it. Quotes

[first lines]
Rick Grimes: [into walkie-talkie] Morgan: I don't know if you're out there, I don't know if you can hear me, maybe you're listening right now. I hope so. I found others: my family, if you can believe it. My wife and son, they're alive, I wanted you to know that. There's something else you *need* to know: Atlanta isn't what we thought, it's not what they promised, the city is... do not enter the city. It belongs to the dead now. We're camped a few miles northwest, up by a big, abandoned rock ...

The dire consequences...
28 November 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The Walking Dead has been great so far, but it was not until this episode that we really learn just how dire consequences are. We lost some people, and one in particular will be hard to get over. The actors are all amazing in this episode, and there is probably even foreshadowing to hint at future story lines. There are just such rich moments in this episode that are character-based, and I think that is what will make it even worse when some of these characters die. After this episode there will be some more changes, but so far the show has done everything extremely well, and AMC has surely hit a jackpot with this. Where else can you get quality of the caliber?
