Sonali Cable is writer-director Charudatt Acharya’s maiden voyage, being one of the 8 scripts selected for Mumbai Mantra-Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab 2012. It stars Rhea Chakraborty (Meri Dad Ki Maruti), Ali Fazal (Bobby Jasoos) and Anupum Kher (A Wednesday) in pivotal roles. It also marks the debut of Dance India Dance finalist Raghav Juyal.

The soundtrack features compositions from various music directors including Raghav Sachar (‘Kabul Fiza’) and Mike McCleary (Nautanki Sala).

Sonali Cable is produced under the banner of Ramesh and Rohan Sippy and hits cinemas 10 October 2014.

Ek Mulaqat Ho kicks of the album, a well composed track by Amjad-Nadeem of the Ankit Tiwari and/or Jeet Ganguly disposition. Jubin Nautiyal’s superior vocals more than make up for Sameer’s simplistic lyrics. He has a beautiful classical quality yet blends in with the rock ballad like style of the track brilliantly. Sheetal Talwar to co-produce a film on the Eichmann trials with the BBC

In a first of its kind producer Sheetal Talwar has tied up with the BBC to co-produce a film on the notorious Eichmann trials. Entitled The Eichmann Show the film is to be directed by BAFTA nominee Peter Andrew Williams, acclaimed writer-director on film and television. The Eichmaan trials chronicled on live television the Nazi war crimes of Otto Adolf Eichmann. This was the first ever trial as a reality-show on television. Talwar says the film version of the trials would be a never-before cinematic experience. "Eichmann Show is a film based on the Eichmann trials. It a film on the court trials that were telecast on TV, making it the world's first reality show. The film is being produced by two Bafta nominee producers, a Bafta nominee director, BBC and me." Pankaj Kapoor to play Alia Bhatts father in Shaandar

The last time, the father-son duo Pankaj Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, worked together was for the film Mausam. However, the veteran actor did not get an opportunity to share screen space with his talented son, considering that Pankaj was directing the film. However, now, the thespian will soon be seen sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor in the upcoming film Shandaar... but not as his on-screen father. Interestingly, Pankaj Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of female lead Alia Bhatt's father in the film. Alia Bhatt will play Shahid's love interest in the film. Prior to this, Karan Johar and Govinda too were approached for a role in Shandaar but plans did not materialize. However, the rest of the details of Pankaj's character are currently being kept under wraps. Said to be India's first ever destination wedding film Shaandar will be directed by Vikas Bahl. »
