Quotes
Jay Pritchett:
Get this through your head: you can give me the cold shoulder the rest of your life; Jack's not coming back. See, I could overlook the goofing off, but you could have been seriously hurt today. Anybody puts my kid in danger doesn't get a second chance. Ever. I'll see you later.
Manny Delgado:
Did you just call me your kid?
Jay Pritchett:
Oh, geez.

A cold can derail a household, which is what happens at the Dunphys when Claire gets a cold. Afraid to pass the germs, she takes to her bed, only to be constantly annoyed by a sound coming from what seems to be a faulty fire detector. No mater what, the problem cannot be controlled. Luke is even afraid of getting the bug; he hides himself in an old costume.
Being a stage mother is bad, but being a stage father, is even worse. Cam has decided, against his partner's wishes to start Lily on her way to stardom by going to auditions. Mitchell, on the other hand, is horrified. Cam, who's always home does what comes naturally to him: he takes Lily to a commercial shoot that turns out to be too much.
Some of the highlights of tonight's show were about an annoying device that keeps on beeping, no matter what Phil tries to do as well as the other thought about racism in the commercial that Cam got Lily selected. Being of Vietnamese background, she was chosen for something the parents had no idea how it was going to be used.
Good direction by Michael Spiller, who has become more involved in the program in its second season. Dan O'Shannon wrote the screenplay with Elaine Ko. Mr. Spiller gets good all around performances from the regulars and guests.
