Tears on the spaghetti sauce

Warning: Spoilers
Mother's Day brings a lot of joy to mothers all over the world. It is the only way to show appreciation to women that have done more than was asked of them when they decided to take the responsibility of raising children. That said, the three families in the series get ready to honor them.

At the Dunphys, Claire has organized a trek to a canyon with Gloria and the children. The idea is the husbands will contribute to make the day special by preparing a nice dinner for the clan. Alas, the choice of going to the hike proves not too popular with the kids, who are bored, tired, and would rather be someplace else. Claire, the eternal optimist goes on with Gloria to the top, but is clearly upset with her kids. Gloria mentions Manny's persnickety condition, which the boy hears because he has tailed the women.

Mitchell starts the day with a breakfast in bed for Cameron, who does not like the implication he is the "mother" in their relationship. As they go to the park to get together with other parents, he is even invited to join the mothers for a group picture. To make matters worse, he even gets a bouquet of flowers.

Jay and Phil are preparing dinner. Jay wants to recreate his mother's own recipe for spaghetti sauce. Phil has brought special glasses in order to avoid the onion fumes from making him cry. Phil finds a note inside the recipe book written by a young Phil many years before. Reading it to his father-in-law makes the older man cry, something that embarrasses him. After all, he is a man, and therefore, he does not cry.

Michael Spiller directed this funny episode. The screenplay was written by Dan O'Shannon, Ilana Warnick and Elaine Ko. The result was another good chapter in the sitcom.

I just don't understand why would cam be so much effended to be referred as a woman or mom!

This is really beneath you. You people apparently want to break the cliches and show equality.. but its really stagy :)
