Romance in the air

Valentine's Day celebrations differ from each of the three families featured in the programs. The only one thing in common is the three couples have decided to make Ibiza the restaurant they want to go to celebrate.

Claire and Phil arrive early. An older crowd is having dinner, which means it is still not the fashionable way to arrive. After being knocked by a man in a motorized cart, Claire decides this is no way to spend the evening. Instead, she excuses herself to call her husband impersonating last year's Julianna, her assumed identity from last year. After Phil catches on, he goes along with the idea of ending the night at a hotel. Their tryst turns a weird turn as Phil picks up someone else's room key card!

Mitchell and Cameron have an issue. Cam gets mad every time he calls his partner's office. Broderick, Mitch's assistant, is not too keen in putting him through to his partner. Cam and Broderick have a frank chat while on the elevator. At Ibiza they find there was no reservation for them, but seeing Jay and Gloria, they assumed their reservation was given to those other Pritcetts.

Jay and Gloria also went to Ibiza, but that is not what Jay had in mind. He wants to go back home. After all, he had prepared an elegant dinner with candlelight and violin music, which he figures it will surprise Gloria. In turn, she has another surprise for her man, something he has no idea about what he is going to get.

Chris Kock directed this episode based on the screenplay written by Dany Zuker and Elaine Ko. Another Valentine's Day theme, perhaps not as racy as the previous one of the same motif, but all the regulars do their excellent job that makes this sitcom one of the best in television.
