Storyline

Homer is completing his court-ordered community service when he befriends his supervisor, Chief Wiggum, by offering him one of his sandwiches. Touched by the act of kindness, Wiggum assigns the other convicts unpleasant tasks, but allows Homer to join him at the picnic table. They continue to grow close, but when the Chief gets injured during a botched bank robbery, Homer doesn't come through when Wiggum needs him the most. Meanwhile, Bart becomes addicted to Battle Ball, a Japanese game made up of plastic balls and magnetic cards, and his family and teachers try to help him kick the habit. Written by FOX Publicity

Really Loved the New Friendship Between Homer and Chief Wiggum,
30 September 2010 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Chief of Hearts is a fantastic Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and a ton of very funny scenes. My favourite part of this episide was,of course, the newfound friendship between Homer and Chief Wiggum, they are without a doubt the stupidest but also two of the funniest characters on the show, seeing the two of them become friends and eventually go on an adventure together was a lot of fun,I hope to see Homer and Wiggum episodes again in the future, some of the pictures they show at the end (particularily the one with Sideshow Bob) would easily make great episodes.I also enjoyed the side story as we see Bart get interest in a new toy trend that Marge confuses for drugs.Funny and also heartwarming,Chief of Hearts is a really great Simpsons episode.

After getting in trouble with the law,Homer and Chief Wiggum start to become best friends.
