Rather mediocre for Smackdown, but I liked bits and pieces of it.
Jack Swagger is out to start the show and is already ranting about how great he is. He goes on and on about how he defeated two future first ballot hall of Famers in Edge and Chris Jericho, and the fact that he dominated The Undertaker like no superstar has been able to do|Uhhhhh....OK then?|. He says he hopes to become a permanent member of the smack down roster and plans to dominate The Viper at Extreme Rules, and give the audience a champion they can all believe in and he will flourish in Smackdown. He says he knows Randy will be ready, coiled, waiting to strike, fangs out, waiting for that precise moment to ensure that it injects the Champion with its Venom, a Venom that can kill a normal man in three seconds. Jack insists he's not among the normality, and what Randy is looking at is the antidote, and he is gonna cut The Viper's head off. Actually Swagger did some very good work here, I often am critical of him but he has potential, I admit, even if he bored me at the start.
Jack Swagger Vs John Morrison. Great match here for the most part with a lot of exciting spots to be had, but the finish was kinda underwhelming. Morrison wins with Starship pain, bad booking there. After the match Tony Chimel announcers Swagger as Champion.

Teddy Long is backstage with CM Punk who is complaining about his strand of hair being cut off. Punk says he has a sociopath gremlin running around|LMAO| with clippers cutting people's hair. Teddy says that's his problem, but Punk barks back that it's his show, and that Rey did it because he knows he won't be able to do it at Extreme Rules. Teddy says he hope Punk beats Rey for his sake and everybody's sake, because Punk won't look pretty with a bald head. Teddy says only he can pull of the beautiful Bald man act. Punk calls Teddy "Chuckles" and says he won't find it funny when he finds Rey tonight and hurts him. Teddy presents him with the perfect opportunity and makes a match of The SES Vs Kane&Rey Mysterio later tonight. Great segment here, Punk meshed well with Teddy.

R-Truth&Matt Hardy Vs Drew McIntyre&Dolph Ziggler. Not much effort put into this one here, and was obviously just a ploy to advance the storyline by having Drew stomp Matt's head against the steps. Drew attacks him more after the match and says "This is the last time I ever want to see you again.

Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring and is with Wade Barrett. He says to make this perfectly clear so that all the moronic hypocrites can even understand. He says at Extreme Rules he is gonna unequivocally end the career of Edge. He says that means no more heroic comebacks, no more Championship reigns, and most importantly, no more spears. He threatens to wreck Edge's face with the steel and end his career for good-by injuring his Achilles Tendon and send him home once and for all. He says all those parasitic sycophants who are Edgeheads will no longer be chanting Spear, Spear, Spear, Spear, Spear!! They'll be chanting "Goodbye Edge, Goodbye Edge". Edge is out now. He says Chris made a good point he did injure his ankle, but more people are wondering how he lost to NXT rookie Heath Slater. He says he knows how to deal with Injuries, and that he knows how to scrape and claw from the bottom of his guts to come back. He says nothing is going to stop him from spearing him through this cage, in fact nothing is going to stop him from spearing him right now. He hits Jericho with the Mic and goes after Barrett. Edge goes for the spear, but Jericho escapes and therefore Edge locks the cage. Wade asks for Jericho's help, but of course does nothing. Edge meshes Barrett's face into the steel and then hits the spear. Great promo here like only these two can deliver, but the audience was flat for it.

JTG Vs Mike Knox. Shad is out for some pointless and annoying commentary. Just a throwaway match to be honest, nobody takes Knox's character seriously anymore, and that's probably why he got released. JTG wins. Shad decimates JTG after the match saying it's his time. Yawn, next.
Michelle McCool&Layla Vs Beth Phoenix&Mickie James. Like morons WWE released Mickie over some stupid European incident and her run in's with everybody's favorite animal Batista|Note the sarcasm|. Pathetic match to say the least, and WWE crapped all over Mickie's legacy by firing her soon afterwords. Heels win. After the match the heels give Beth a makeover setting up there match at Extreme Rules.
Kane is talking with Rey backstage. Did WWE completely forget their history?.
CM Punk and Luke Gallows Vs Kane and Rey Mysterio. Not bad, but I expected a lot better with the time it was given. It's well-known Rey and punk work well together, but they kinda disappointed here. SES wins when Punk rolls Rey's legs. SES starts a beat down on Rey, but the little man prevails and stands tall to close the show.

Bottom line. Not up to the usual standards of Smackdown, but it beats Raw on most nights, and I'm almost certain that's not what WWE wants, and besides I'm still resenting WWE at the moment due to the treatment of Mickie James. Give it a look
