Marshall no longer has his wallet because he was mugged while walking through Central Park. He changes his story slightly because Lily, now afraid of life in the city, wants to get a gun to protect herself. Robin feels that Marshall's new story is newsworthy and wants to interview him on the morning show. He is reluctant to do so if only because telling the story to the public would make him a laughing stock... or does he have another reason for not wanting to go public? Ted is somewhat perturbed because he feels he being responsible for building the Empire State Building for the largest scale model version of the New York skyline is more newsworthy and doesn't understand why Robin won't ask him to appear on her show. Based on circumstances, Ted thinks he has a plan to get on the show, but the outcome, straight out of a Hollywood movie, may not be what he was envisioning (at least not the Hollywood movie he had in mind). And Barney wants to use Marshall's story to pick up women for ... Written by Huggo

In the 16th minute "Robin" pulls out a gun, the gun's safety slide is on the right side of the gun which means it's a left-handed version exclusive to people who are left handed , but "Robin" is right handed. (the safety slide is designed to be switched by the dominant hands thumb) In fact, the type of gun Robin keeps in her purse is equipped with an ambidextrous thumb safety, so the shooter can operate the safety regardless of being left or right handed. Robin Scherbatsky: Hey, guys. What's up?
Barney Stinson: Oh, some new information has come to light on Marshall's mugging.
Robin Scherbatsky: [seriously] Oh, really? Did they catch the guy?
Ted Mosby: Well, he's behind bars.
Robin Scherbatsky: Where did they find him?
Lily Aldrin: I'm guessing naked in the trees, throwing his own feces.
Robin Scherbatsky: Oh, I've seen that guy. See, that's why I take cabs.
Ted Mosby: You know how they caught him, right?
Marshall Eriksen: [reluctantly] There was a tail on him...

Good To See Jason Segel Leading An Episode
16 January 2015 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This is not the greatest episode of "How I Met Your Mother", in fact it's one of the silliest, I complained Jason Segel was underused this season in an earlier review, however I did not expect to find him leading up an episode like this.. That said it is not without its funny moments.

Plot In A Paragraph: When Marshall reveals to the gang he was mugged in Central Park, Lilly freaks out, and prompted by Robin, she decides to get herself a gun, so she feel safe at home. Worried by this Marshall tells everybody he was mugged by a monkey, the gang find this hilarious (although are unsure if they believe him) Robin wants to interview Marshall on her breakfast show, hoping the funny nature of the story may get picked up by the national news. Barney meanwhile is just using Marshals mugging story as a new way to pick up women using the sympathy card.

Not as funny as previous episodes, but not without a chuckle or two either.
