Storyline
The One Warrior is a fantasy/action piece that is loosely based on video adventure games. In our story, the character of The One Warrior finds himself in a mythical world where he must destroy the Evil Lord Shoukata, but to do so he must first fight his way through many challenges. These include dragons, the cursed swords of Damacleus, the Samurai Six, the Amazon Warriors, and much, much more. With each level he passes through, the more powerful he becomes until the end where we realize it is really a man who may have been testing a new video game. Or was it? The truth may never be known. Don't listen to all the hateful reviews. This film was epic. And I even sort of know the producers! Of all the kids on this side of our street who made films this week, this is the 4th best of ALL OF THEM! And I am totally not exaggerating! It's really good!
The post production is so solid it looks almost nearly as good as lowest-budget made-for-SiFi cable TV film from a decade and a half ago. Almost. And at least as good as the films made locally on the community-access channel.
Let this cauldron of cinematic excellence be an example to the rest of you who always wanted to "Make A Movie", but thought you couldn't. STOP IT! You totally can! Why don't you dream big, like these kids did.
BELIEVE YOU CAN FLY!
All you need, is a complete lack of talent, an almost complete lack of skills, a ton of motivation, no shame whatsoever on every imaginable level, and a comical lack of insight as to how ignorant your potential viewers are. Oh, throw in a dash of stylistic-retardation, and add a side dipping sauce of delusion. THAT'S IT!
And you thought it was impossible? Shame on you.
If you are all those wonderful things mentioned, then you too can make a film. And probably even better then this one. Oh, and if you are all those things, you'll even be proud of it too! You'll even show it to others, and not feel that ridiculous embarrassment that a so-called proper "film maker" would have. Blah! Who needs that, right? Shame? Pride? Legitimacy? Principles? Moderately original ideas? Or especially, talent? What tired concepts!
What is this, a lecture about extinct terms from the 80's?
Ah hell no dawg! This is about new-school film! About breaking new ground! About keepin it real, yo!
And when it comes to keeping it real, this film succeeds where many have failed.
I give it ONE STAR! Because 10 stars are for losers! 10 Stars are for commercial Hollywood crap films meant for mindless lemmings. This masterpiece only requires one, cause it's THAT GOOD!
HAIL THE ONE WARRIOR! HAIL THE NEW CINEMA! DOWN WITH THE OLD!
