Storyline

The not so smart Dwayne intends to open a massage parlor with his partner Travis, but he does not have money for the investment. He decides to hire a hit-man to kill his father, The Major, who won a large amount of money in the lottery years ago, but the killer demands US$ 100,000 for the job. Dwayne and Travis kidnap the pizza delivery boy Nick and they dress Nick in a vest with a timer and several bombs. Then Dwayne tells Nick that he has ten hours to rob US$ 100,000 from a bank. Once he does, he would give Nick the code to release the vest. Nick summons his best friend Chet to help him in the heist but the scheme does not work the way Dwayne has plotted. I'm Done Kenny... I'm Done.
14 August 2011 | by See all my reviews

Oh how it aches my heart to speak these words... Kenny Powers we are done. If you are not familiar with the name, it is Danny McBride's character in East Bound and Down. All the crude laughter and clever cringe humor that you once had has now turn into you painfully telling penis and vagina jokes as if it's the only joke you know. It's like being at a party and you started making a couple of penis jokes, and yeah the first few are pretty funny, but then you just start sounding awkward and desperate. Yeah I'd be giggling when I was 14, but come on man, you're not even clever anymore. The fact that you want us to laugh at these terrible jokes is insulting.

As for the rest of the cast... Eisenberg takes him self too serious and he's starting to come off as a douche. Aziz is funny but this character is not. Every punchline was delivered the same exact way, which makes it painfully obvious when he is trying to queue a laugh. Nick Swardson was by far the most animated character, and delivered very well as he actually saved McBride from a string of terrible punchlines.

All in all this movie was terribly disappointing. The movie had no pace and killed it's own momentum. The one bank robbery scene was anti-climatic and the momentum built inside that scene was killed with a quick escape and a divert change of pace.

I don't particularly like writing bad reviews but I felt like this movie could have been so much more.
