A feeling. A really bad one.

Warning: Spoilers
The suicides begin as something wicked this way comes into the minds of these troubled Virginia islanders, not only waiting out the storm but dealing with the presence of the malevolent Colm Feore, in jail yet obviously able to control the minds of certain locals vulnerable to his powers. Among those who get more to do in this episode are the great stage actress Kathleen Chalfant and the adorably feisty Myra Carter as mother and daughter who don't always see eye to eye. Another subplot involves the secrets of a supposedly straight middle aged man who once lusted over an effeminate young teen and couldn't deal with those feelings or his actions. The secrets seem to be all about excessive human lusts and the denials that they are guilty over these feelings.

Definitely picking up steam as compared to the first episode, this still hasn't escaped past the vagueness of most of the plot up to this point, but that's not a bad thing. It's still intriguing, filled with lots of spooky sound effects and music, with the nursery rhyme "I'm a Little Teapot" very important to everything going on. You could say that there are far too many characters to focus on, but the script intelligently allows the audience to pick up on the vices of each of the characters getting little bits of screen time and what lead them to be vulnerable to Feore's powers. He can transform himself into other characters, and each of them facing the prospect of hell being all about repetition, not realizing that they're already living in it. This has more frights than part one, definitely of the nightmarish kind.
