Anachronisms 

When Paan Singh goes to Rajasthan with his gang to rob the money lender, the shops in that area have Pepsi Logo on them. Pepsi entered India in 1989 while this setting is supposed to be of 70s.

When the train approaches Nurpura railway station, the coach just after the locomotive engine has "G S L" and "U M Re" written on it (Hindi abbr. for North Central Railway). The story is set in the '60s and '70s, but the North Central railway came into existence on 1st April, 2003.

Plot holes 

Pan Singh Tomar told his interviewer that International Defence Athletic Meet was the most important race of his life, however no record was involved. In the flashback his elder brother was telling the fellow villagers that in recently concluded International Defence Athletics Meet Subedar Paan Singh Tomar has broken his own record.
