Cardiff, Wales — Chart-toppers, soul singers and three generations of Michael Jackson's family – including his children – celebrated the King of Pop at an energetic tribute concert Saturday, urging fans to focus on the late star's music rather than his death.
The run-up to the "Michael Forever" concert was overshadowed by the Los Angeles manslaughter trial of Jackson's doctor, and marred by fan criticism, sluggish ticket sales and dissension within the Jackson family. But once the four-hour show started, Jackson's musical genius, and the warm tributes of friends and family, carried the night.
"We're very happy to be here on this special night to honor our father," said Jackson's 13-year-old daughter Paris, who made a brief onstage appearance alongside brothers Prince, 14, and 9-year-old Michael Joseph Jr., known as Blanket.
The children wore outfits evoking their father's famous styles – Paris most strikingly, in a red and black "Thriller"-style jacket. Blanket stood stoic and shy,...

A new documentary on Michael Jackson, titled, Gone Too Soon (its release timed perfectly of course) by investigative reporter Ian Halperin, makes a lot of claims, notably that Michael faked his high-pitched speaking voice, and it was essentially part of his shtick. If you feel there's no such thing as T.M.I. when it comes to Michael Jackson's life and death, you totally have to catch the documentary, "Gone Too Soon."
Ian Halperin, the man who wrote the New York Times bestselling biography, "Unmasked: The final years of Michael Jackson," helms the two hour special. The King of Pop's unauthorized biographer went undercover to interview many of the people who were closest to the star, including Dr. Deepok Chopra, actor Lou Ferrigno and Jackson family attorney, Brian Oxman.
Halperin, who made headlines when he predicted Jackson's death 6 months before it happened, is sure to make some pretty controversial conclusions in the special. Culled from more than 300 hours of footage shot before and immediately after the superstar's passing, the program will be airing in more than 50 countries on the anniversary of the performer's death.

Michael Jackson faked his high-pitched voice to "act like a boy", it has been claimed. The late "Thriller" hitmaker, who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June, spoke with a deep, masculine tone but altered the pitch in public so people would like him more, says his biographer Ian Halperin. He said, "He wanted to act like a boy. He felt it was a way for the public to like him more."
Michael's spiritual advisor, Reverend June Gatlin, added, "His voice was not high pitched. It was deep - a real man's voice." June, a self-proclaimed "seer", says the singer visited her in Los Angeles for "spiritual cleansing" so he could be himself and speak in a normal voice. Ian, whose documentary on the singer, "Gone Too Soon", will air on the anniversary of his death on Friday, June 25, added, "She tried to get him to be just Michael."

HollywoodNews.com: The vultures around Michael Jackson have circled June 25th–the first anniversary of his death– for their first attacks.
That’s the day Ian Halperin, sleazy tabloid muckracker, airs his “Gone Too Soon” film on the TV Guide Network. Halperin has already feasted on Michael Jackson’s remains with a book last year. Now he comes with an editorial film in which he interviews the D list from the Jackson outer circle about their knowledge of Jackson’s life. It will be interesting to see how he handles not having Jackson’ s music in his film, let alone the people who really knew him. Expect much heavy weighing in from the illustrious Tohme R. Tohme.
Even better: June 25th is also launch date for a, ahem, book by Leonard Rowe, erstwhile concert promoter. Rowe was in cahoots with Joseph Jackson before Michael died to try...
