Geoff's sincere interest why Nicole got drunk again meets only rude abuse and wining "My whole life is such a mess". Really miserable waits at home, where Aden and Belle have returned after a shortened (booking-probelm) honeymoon and finally reveal her grim survival prospects. To Jai's dismay, Annie runs to Dex for comfort, while Irene vents her anger on startled Leah, only Geoff bravely comforts Belle, who now feels guilty. After sending Dexter and liar Indigo to school, where Bartlett grimly lays down the law "buckle up and catch up", dad Sid Walker starts working at the hospital as pregnant Rachel's replacement and by his medical status 'magically' reverses Colleen's prejudice. "I just wanna know why you're so determined to write yourself off like that"

Well, the cliffhanger to the previous week is quickly rendered pointless if not downright illogical, as it turns out the mysterious driver who picked up a drunken Nicole is...Sid.So why exactly he drove off with her, ignoring Geoff shouting after her desperately, instead of having a quiet chat with her there and then is anybody's guess.Nicole continues to sink towards rock bottom although at least by the end of this she's not dealing with her burden alone.Indigo continues to be poorly characterised, inviting Nicole to a party and having her phone number when they've only met once and all they did was argue.

Anyway, months after she found out she was dying and nearly as long after we were let in on it, Belle finally tells people. The scene that follows is...somewhat variable with some very odd reactions from people. Belle stops Geoff going after Annie, who's clearly distressed and needs someone with her, but Aden goes to harass Irene, who's clearly shutting it out and needs time alone to process it.This does result in Belle and Geoff's best moment ever as she asks him to stay with her and they hug, demonstrating what a good pair they make and making us wish they had more scenes like that. But Annie's big moment is spoiled by the writers' insistence on using it as an excuse to throw her together with Dexter, when using Aden, Geoff or Jai, all of whom actually have a history with her and Belle, would have had a lot more emotional impact.
