After this episode aired, fans of the show would visit the house in Albuquerque, NM that was used as the White family home and repeatedly throw pizzas onto the roof like Walt did. It became so frequent and messy that the home's owner built a 6 foot iron fence to stop fans from doing so. Ironically, the erection of a defensive fence around notorious Heisenberg's house was prophesied in Granite State (2013).
Originally, a Steve Haley song was wanted for Walt to sing along to during the opening scene. However, the studio could not get the get the rights to the song so they went with "A Horse with No Name" by America instead.
"Caballo Sin Nombre" roughly translates to "Horse With No Name," the title of a 1971 hit song by America and part of this episode's soundtrack.
