The WWE Elimination Chamber pay per view was meant to be WWE’s big chance to correct course ahead of Wrestlemania 30. The problem going into the event was well documented, fans were sick of Daniel Bryan being overlooked for the WWE title. The insult to injury was made further when the returning Dave Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble. How could the 45 year old who left WWE for four years walk into the Mania main event ahead of the hottest new star in the company?
You would hope that WWE learned from the Rumble fan backlash and corrected the error at Elimination Chamber, but once again the company has booked a narrative that devalues Wrestlemania 30. The morning after the February PPV we should have had a solid idea of what Wrestlemania will be, we should be looking forward to it. Instead, on this the Network launch date, we the fans remain as pessimistic as ever.

This weekend’s WWE Pay Per View will not be carried by Dish Network. The distributor has rejected the Elimination Chamber due to concerns over how they will make money once the WWE Network launches next week offering events for $9.99 a month.
A statement from Dish directly addresses this, voicing their concerns that WWE won’t readjust their PPV costs given that the events will now be much cheaper elsewhere. Another distributor, DirecTV, is also concerned.
There isn’t much WWE can do about this. The company has released a statement expressing disappointment that Dish will not offer customers a traditional outlet for consuming WWE products, but deep down, Vince McMahon must have expected this kind of reaction. How are Dish expected to react when their WWE offerings are so severely undercut by the WWE Network?

When the WWE made the decision that we would have one world champion, a problem developed with one of the company’s big events on the Road to WrestleMania: Elimination Chamber. With their no longer being two champions, there comes a problem and that problem is what do you do with the Chamber match? Do you have the champion defend? Does the Rumble winner put up his title shot at the Grandest Stage of Them All?
Well, I have an idea for this year’s Elimination Chamber match and it involves no belts or title shots on the line. What are those six men stepping into the cage for? The chance to end The Streak. If you hype the fact that six men are going to enter The Devil’s Playground and the winner gets the shot at ending The Streak that would get people to buy.
Think about it like this,...

WWE have confirmed via local advertisements during last night’s show that The Undertaker will be returning to Raw on February 20th, the event coming from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The event is taking place the night after the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view where The Undertaker is not scheduled to perform. In fact many doubt The Undertaker will actually be involved in a match before the WrestleMania semi-main event match with Triple H at WrestleMania 28 from April 1st, 2012.
As we reported earlier, next week’s progression in the Triple H vs The Undertaker program will involve the advertised appearance of ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels who it is widely expected will be the special guest referee in the Wm match.
The Undertaker appeared on last night’s Raw via video online, after making his almost year long return at last week’s Raw when he confronted Triple H to close out the show.
