A solid, but certainly underwhelming final show before Wrestlemania.
28 March 2010 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

HBK is out to a nice pop. HBK says he has a feeling, and it's the same feeling he had back in 1992, when he kicked Marty Janetty through the barber shop window, and the same feeling he got back in 1996, when he Beat Bret Hart for the WWE title at Wrestlemania. It's a feeling he can do absolutely anything, even beating The Undertaker's streak. He says he needs to hand it to the company, he says there is a new DVD of his out called "My Journey" Shawn says they need to clear off room, because there is about to be a Volume Two. He says this isn't the end, but only the beginning. He will no longer be known as the showstopper, icon, main event, HBK, and the co-founder of DX, and he may even cease to be known as Shawn Michaels. He will however be known forever as the man who ended The Undertaker's undefeated Wrestlemania streak. The dong hits, and we are treated to a career retrospective of HBK highlighting his career, and it says 1985-2010. Shawn says he's not intimidated by it, and if he wants to do it, he should do it to his face. Pete Rose it out and says he wants Shawn to face Kane tonight, for the things Kane has done to him. HBK says he'll get revenge for him and himself. Great speech by HBK, if this is his final one, I couldn't think of a better ending.

The Miz Vs John Morrison. Show and Truth are out for commentary, and do an OK job. Pretty solid match actually, but that's to be expected from these two. Fast, exciting with a lot of good spots. Morrison wins with The Starship Pain.

3/5

Triple H is getting ready in the locker room, when Randy Orton decides to pay him a visit. Trips says he doesn't wanna talk to Orton, and just because they have common enemies tonight, does not mean they can forget the past. Trips says if he messes with him, he'll drop him. Orton says he'll keep that in mind, but Triple H still has to make it to Wrestlemania. Good segment, keeps Orton's bad ass character intact.

3/5

Money In The Bank Qualifier.

Kofi Kingston Vs Vladimir Kozlov. Pretty crappy match, only a vehicle for Kofi to get into Money In The Bank. Kofi wins with The Trouble in Paradise.

1/5

Legacy is out. Cody says it's everyman for himself, but after eighteen months of abuse, Ted and himself are finally free. Cody says Randy claims he took them under his wing, but they were already superstars to begin with. He says the biggest misconception that was they needed Randy Orton, but the truth was he needed them. They don't care who wins this one, just as long as Randy Orton loses, then his arrogance and his ignorance will be exposed. Ted shoots Cody a dirty look afterwords. Not bad

Triple H&Randy Orton Vs Legacy&Sheamus. OK match up, Triple H's ego comes into play of course, refusing to take the pin fall. Randy Orton got one of the biggest reaction's I have heard in year's when he got tagged in, if WWE is smart they'll leave his character alone as a fan favorite, and they may have something big.

2/5

Bret is out to a nice pop. Bret says when he came back to WWE months ago, he never believed he'd get another shot to Wrestlemania. He says some of his fondest memories happened there. He says all he hears is that Vince screwed Bret, but from now on it's gonna be Bret screwed Vince, which starts up a huge chant from the crowd. Vince says one way or another Bret is screwed. Effective i'll say that, but the feud has disappointed.

3/5

HBK Vs Kane. Pretty good match here, these two have always worked well with one another. HBK wins after failed Taker interference.

3/5

Christian has a word with Pete, with Pete bragging about his baseball career. Pete walks into a trap, and Kane beats the holy hell out of him, with Christian watching on amused. Funny stuff.

2 1/2 /5

Eve Torres &Gail Kim &Beth Pheonix/W Kelly Kelly and Mickie James Vs Maryse& Layla& Michelle McCool /W Alicia Fox and Vickie.

GREAT to see Mickie back, she looked yummy. Match was complete crap of course. McCool wins with the Faithbreaker.

0/5

Cena and Batista have another boring encounter, which I won't even bother to recap.

1/5

Bottom line. An OK Show before Mania, but considering the circumstances, it should have been a lot better, worth a look though.
