Jack Swagger is out to start the show to some nice heat. He says it
doesn't matter who he faces, he is the odds on favorite to walk out the
World Heavyweight Champion, and says he's a changed man in every
conceivable way. John Morrison interrupts him. Morrison shows footage
of Randy Orton defeating him with an RKO, and says he doesn't look like
a Champion, you don't look like a changed man, you look like the same
person to me. He says he has the same stupid haircut, same stupid
nickname, and the same stupid speech impediment. Swagger says he
doesn't have a speech impediment, and that Morrison is living in the
shadow of The Miz, and that he's bitter and jealous. Morrison says he
may be right, but at least he doesn't have a speech impediment, and
avoids an attack from Swagger. Not bad, not bad at all.

John Morrison Vs Jack Swagger. Great match here, with many exciting near falls, and it made Swagger and Morrison both look strong. Only regret is the botch near the end. Swagger wins with The Doctor Bomb.

Jericho is backstage with his NXT protégé Wade Barrett. Jericho says he is livid at the title changing hands the way it did, and that he should still be Champion. Swagger interrupts him, asking Chris if he saw his flawless display, and that is what a Champion looks like. He says he's pulling for Chris, and the only reason he cashed in on him instead of Cena was because Chris was hurt, and a sure thing. Chris says he can walk around in a suit all he wants, but it does not make him Chris Jericho, it doesn't make you a World Champion. Swagger agrees and smacks his title belt and says that does. Very solid stuff here
Shad Gaspard is on his way to the ring. He says that some people need to do what he does, and take the people out that are in your way. He says it's his time, Shad Gaspard's time. JTG comes out like an idiot, and gets a big boot for his troubles. Meh, nothing exciting here, not a fan of the storyline.
Drew McIntyre Vs Matt Hardy. Drew says he isn't gonna waste his breath on the people, before Matt is out. There best match by far, quite exciting and it had a great flow of movement, I really liked it. Drew wins with the Future Shock.
CM Punk is out to a mixed reaction from his hometown Chicago fans. Serena calls everyone sinners and addicts. CM Punk says there was a time Serena and Luke Gallows were like everyone here, but he came along and changed them. He says he can save Darren Young from despair, and that he must quit Smoking, drinking, partying, etc. Young has other plans and declines the option, and shoves Punk down. Gallows comes to Punk's rescue, cue Mysterio's music. Mysterio cleans house, and says he isn't just gonna beat him at Extreme Rules, he's gonna end the SES. Excellent segment here, Punk is pure gold and winning me over
The Dudebusters Vs The Hart Dynasty. Big time pop for The Hart Dynasty. Not a bad little match here at all, as the two worked quite well together, WWE might have stars in the making with The Hart Dynasty. Hart Dynasty wins with The Sharpshooter.

Matthews is with Dolph Ziggler, and asks him how it felt to put The Great Khali to sleep. Dolph responds by putting Josh to sleep. Wow...just wow!.
Edge is backstage preparing for his match, and Swagger comes in calling him The Rated R Superstar. He tries the same stuff he did with Jericho, but also mentions if he wins he will do what Jericho couldn't, put Edge back on the shelf, but Edge doesn't buy it. Edge scoffs a little bit and says he will beat Swagger, and beat him with a Spear, and to make it clear he hilarious mocks Swagger's speech impediment and says STHPEAR!. Edge was gold as usual, and Swagger's end line "I don't have a speech impediment was great.
No 1 Contender's match.
Edge Vs Chris Jericho. Excellent match here! not quite as good as there one at Mania, but excellent indeed. I loved the mind games, the intensity and the energy they provided. Match ends in a double count out, disappointingly. They fight into the crowd, and Jericho tries to hit him with a chair, but behold SPEAR!.
Bottom line. I love Smackdown. Its always a good show, despite the annoying edit tendencies, this one was great.
