Clark Kent: Uh, Miss Lane is an acquired taste. I-It's just that ever since Tess went away, we've gone through a lot of editors.
Franklin W. Stern: Well, not for long. The board just launched a global search for the next editor-in-chief. And I intend to make their decision very easy.
Lois Lane: And you decided to start your campaign by downsizing the desk inventory?

Divine writing, awesome Idol sequel, smart timeless story, immersive dark production but macrohard subliminal ad
30 April 2010 | by (France) – See all my reviews

In the previous installment they Upgraded the show and Smallville's ninth season never looked so badly produced and written. That's why I was relieved to read that Charade would celebrate the long anticipated return of Don Whitehead and Holly Henderson. Their work on Metallo and Crossfire was so convincing that I never doubted them. In the first they pictured John Corben as a lonely detective haunted by the tragic death of his sister. They made us care about him and I'll never forget the smart and emotional words Brian Austin Green said at the end. In the second their feather was lighter and the story was full of wit, joy and hope. It was a brilliant homage to Pretty Woman and an exquisite way to introduce Mia, refreshingly played by Elise Gaiten.

Forgive the digression odd inhabitant of Metropolis but I think these elements were essential to comprehend why Charade was as excellent as episodes like Warrior. Indeed for once it wasn't a freak of the week who troubled my heart and soul but the irresistible triptych of Lois, Clark & The Blur. The best part is that the story is actually a sequel to the intense and inspiring Idol. Anne Cofell Saunders did an impressive writing job on it. That's why I was surprised they didn't hire her again to work on Charade. I suppose their intention was to surprise the audience and it's exactly what Don & Holly did. They mesmerizingly merged Metallo's darkness with Crossfire's glowness. Beyond the bitter truth and sweet lies of the protagonists they reached a world where Lois & Clark are forever. What's the relationship between The Blur and Lois ? Will Clark's Identity crisis ever end ? Their last scene was as unexpected as Conspiracy's jaw dropping one.

Suit up your geek glasses and enjoy the evil comeback of District Attorney Raymond Sacks. You should miss Oliver & Mia but the Zod arc developed further and the introduced characters made the story even more intriguing. All these chessboard metaphoras are a bit too literal but they at least bring some depth to the puzzling connections between the White Queen and the other players. Spice up the game with Tess Mercer and you get one of the strongest and pivotal installment to date. Last but not least the production was immersive so beside a few minor glitches nothing should prevent you from miming the episode with your corrupted friends. Follow the Gold Bunny to see how deep Her black hole goes ! Warning : The episode was again stained by a subliminal advertisement. This time our subconscious had to digest a stealthy Windows logo on one of Chloe's screens of the death.
