Two families go to an open house and can't leave.
This is a film I took a chance on because the three reviews posted highly praised it, stating that it was a Horror, not a Thriller and that it was good. How right they were. I enjoyed this as much as, if not more than the usual low budget Horror fodder I indulge in nightly. It had loads of problems but nothing that detracted from the telling of it's tale to great effect. I recognised a few of the actors and of course the actor who must be haunted by being forever known as "the guy from that old TV show 'V'" Marc Singer.
It's not the first 'stuck in purgatory' horror but it's an original take on this theme with some clever writing too. The cast are all (mostly) not bad and this was Janey Gioiosa first movie as she plays Emmy Hays, daughter of Charlie (Marc). The blood and guts are fairly realistic for a TV effort and even the production values are passable, making this a tidy little Horror to pass an evening.
Highly Recommended
