Heavy Rain (2010 Video Game)
Norman Jaydem: [after Blake breaks into a suspect's apartment] I'm not sure that's entirely legal.
Carter Blake: Call the cops.
Scott Shelby: Goddamn Asthma. Can't breath when it rains.
Carter Blake: Why didn't you shoot?
Norman Jaydem: Sorry?
Carter Blake: Back there; Nathaniel coulda had a gun! Coulda killed me! Why didn't you shoot?
Norman Jaydem: I prefer to have all the information before I make a decision. I try to make rational choices when possible.
Carter Blake: Oh, come on, you had a split second to react. Nathaniel coulda whacked me before you even had time to move!
Norman Jaydem: [If Irony is chosen] Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were a tough guy. A street cop who's been through the mill. I didn't think you'd scare so easily
Carter Blake: Why don't you fuck off, Norman.
Scott Shelby: [to Lauren after barely escaping his sinking car] You gotta car back at your place? Mines obviously pretty fucked-up.
Norman Jaydem: Hey! Did Paco know that guy that just left?
Paco's Bodyguard: [irritated] Sorry, I don't speak cop!
Norman Jaydem: [should player choose to persist by throwing him against a wall]
Norman Jaydem: Read my lips asshole, 'cause I got no time to translate! Did Paco know that guy, yes or no?
Lauren Winters: [offering Scott a cigarette] You want one?
Scott Shelby: No thanks, I quit.
Lauren Winters: Brave man.
Captain Perry: [from trailer] The body of Jeremy Bowles was found this morning on a patch of wasteland in the east end at about 6:30 A.M. Five days after he was reported missing. An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow to determine the exact cause of death, but going from first indications, it would seem that he drowned. The state in which the body was found suggests the methodology of the origami killer.
Ethan Mars: [reading a note from the origami killer] When the parents came home from church, all their children were gone. They searched and called for them, they cried and begged, but it was to no avail. The children were never seen again.
Ethan Mars: [Holding gun to strangers head] I'm a Father too...
Norman Jaydem: [to Mad Jack after 'impressing' him] Oh shit, Jack, ain't nothing to it, just a little bit of self defense! Page 1 of the police manual - kill or be killed!
[Jayden is presenting a talk Origami killer case, with evidence and conclusions he has discovered so far]
Carter Blake: Goddamn it, we're wasting our time with this bullshit! The killer is out there somewhere, and we've gotta get off our asses and find him.
Norman Jaydem: ['reason'] The killer is no ordinary murderer. He is intelligent, organized and methodical. You won't find him by patrolling the streets.
Carter Blake: Tell me, Agent Jayden, did you get your 'vast' experience on the job? Or did you just fuckin' read about it in some schoolbook?
Norman Jaydem: ['go for him'] Your 'vast' experience hasn't prevented eight victims from being murdered!
Carter Blake: [rises from his seat in anger] Fuckin' asshole!
Clarence Dupre: Ethan Mars has had psychological problems since his first son died. He feels responsible for his death- a sort of morbid neurosis. He is haunted by visions of drowning bodies. A few weeks ago, after one of our usual sessions I found this on the floor...
[pulls an origami figure out of a drawer]
Clarence Dupre: it must have fallen out of his pocket.
Madison Paige: You can't keep going like this. You're destroying yourself Ethan.
Ethan Mars: Finding Shaun is the only thing that matters.
Madison Paige: There has to be another way.
Ethan Mars: You don't understand. Time is running out, Shaun will be dead in a few hours, I have no choice!
Ethan Mars: Please Madison, leave. Forget everything that's happened. There is nothing more you can do for me.
Scott Shelby: [to one of Gordi Kramer's goons] Look, Cinderfella. The clock's just turned twelve and I dont wanna turn you into a pumpkin.
Norman Jaydem: [after Blake breaks into a suspects house] No warrant? No problem for Blake. He thinks his badge entitles him to do anything he wants.
Mad Jack: [when Norman sees a human skull in an acid bath] One of your cop buddy's asking too many questions, I had to sodder up his little mouth.
Paco Mendez: [after Madison asks for a drink to break the ice] Oh, we already broke the ice mama... let's get wet!
ARI Barman: Oh, one last thing sir, you should be careful not to over-indulge in 'you-know-what'. It can be dangerous. Very dangerous.
Norman Jaydem: I'm trying to keep a handle on it. But... it's difficult. It gets more and more difficult.
ARI Barman: It'll end up killing you if you're not careful. That would be most unfortunate, sir.
