Alright, so below, we get a much more complete narrative picture of the Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson-starring/Mario Van Peebles-directed film, Things Fall Apart – a film and performance that Mr Jackson himself has said will surprise his doubters.
Fiddy lost 54 pounds in preparation for his role in the movie in which he plays a promising professional football player prospect in his senior year in college, whose career is challenged after he discovers that he has cancer – hence the drastic weight-loss.
And that’s pretty much all we’ve known about the plot, and maybe that’s all we really need to know, leaving the rest of the story to when we actually see the film, which won’t be until some time in 2011 (IMDBPro says the film is currently in post-production).
However, if you’re like me, you’re impatient, and would like to know more about the plot and how the story develops, »
So… I’m sure we’ve all seen the photographs of an anorexic Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson that were released a few months ago, from his next film, Things Fall Apart – a film and performance that Mr Jackson himself has said will surprise his doubters.

Here’s what may be the first poster for the film, which I lifted from the sales company’s website (Hannibal Pictures). I couldn’t find a larger version, so what you see here is all there is; and obviously, it »

Since it was announced that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson had launched his own film company, Cheetah Vision, we’ve been casually watching to see what kind of work this new venture would yield. The first title under the Cheetah Vision (CV) banner was something called Before I Self Destruct, which was included in his last album release (didn’t catch that). This, I believe is the second CV feature project – the recently-released crime drama titled Caught In The Crossfire, which stars Chris Klein, Adam Rodriguez, and Fiddy himself (albeit in a smaller role than I expected, although somewhat pivotal) – a film I screened last night.
I’ll skip the foreplay and get right to the grind. Call this a Twitterized review
So, how was it? Well, not bad actually! Or maybe my low expectations were simply met. But really, there was actually enough suspense to keep me mostly engaged for a lot of the film, »

Fif sat down with the women of "The View" on Tuesday and revealed to the hosts what his very first meal was post-production.
"I remember specifically what the first thing was, because I was starving," he laughed. "I had a steak. It was 12 ounces, but I got about four ounces in before I started getting sleepy."

A lot of people have been talking about the pictures circulating around the web this week of rapper 50 Cent and the drastic physical change he underwent for a recent acting gig. He plays a college football player who is diagnosed with cancer in the Mario Van Peebles movie Things Fall Apart, and he lost 54 pounds in 9 weeks in order to achieve the emaciated look you see above. Clearly it's a shocking difference from the muscular build we are used to seeing, and the general reaction is that it doesn't seem particularly healthy. 50 Cent is far from the first actor to undergo such an extreme transformation (although he may be the first rapper) but it all leads one to ask, is it really necessary or is it all just for show? Plenty of actors have been known to lose or gain a large amount of weight for roles (Christian Bale in »

By Shaheem Reid
The shocking photos that appeared earlier this week of a dramatically gaunt 50 Cent is just another example of the extremes to which he'll go to win. The G-Unit general lost the weight for a role as a football player with cancer in the upcoming "Things Fall Apart," and he spoke to Cleveland's Call and Post about why the movie was worth the sacrifice.
"It's myself, Mario Van Peebles, Ray Liotta, Lynn Whitfield, and it's a project that I wrote, produced and financed myself," he said of the film. "It's about a Heisman hopeful who could possibly be going to the league and everyone is assuming he's gonna make it, and then he's hit with an illness.
