I Feel Pretty, a concept-based comedy starring Amy Schumer, will add some interesting performance gravitas to its cast with the acquisition of four-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Michelle Williams.
According to Deadline, Williams joins I Feel Pretty to play Avery LeClaire, the boss of a cosmetics company at which Schumer’s character Renee Bennett works. The premise of the film follows Renee – a purportedly unexceptional, average-sized woman who’s surrounded by the genetically gifted – who falls off an exercise bike, leading to a head-injury-induced 'spell' that leaves her under the belief that she is – by perceived conventional standards – stunningly beautiful, even though her appearance did not change. However, Renee’s newfound confidence seems to carry her far in her job, earning respect from her boss Avery (Williams). Yet, with her »
Anne Hathaway has signed on to produce and star in a new romantic comedy from STXfilms, which has been written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein (How to Be Single, The Vow, He’s Just Not That Into You).
“I am excited to be collaborating with STXfilms on this movie,” said Hathaway. “It’s been really heartening how willing they are to take risks and explore what we all hope will be a great and modern comedic story.”
“We have been looking for ways to work with Annie since launching Stx, and when she came to us with this idea, we knew right away that we wanted to make this movie with her,” added STXfilms Chairman Adam Fogelson. “This is a modern-day look at love, dating and hookups with a very contemporary and authentic voice that speaks to a generation that casually swipes right to find a mate. As technology »

Amy Schumer’s no longer set to play a Barbie girl in a live-action Barbie movie world, but her next film still sounds like it will center on appearances. Variety reports the Inside Amy Schumer creator and star has signed on to a mysterious new comedy titled I Feel Pretty. The film is being co-written and co-directed by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, the frequent collaborators behind the screenplays/stories of such films as He’s Just Not That Into You, Valentine’s Day, The Vow, and How To Be Single. Given their history, there will presumably be a significant romantic element to I Feel Pretty’s comedy, though Variety would only say that the film’s plot is “being kept under wraps.”
But unnamed sources close to the project tell The A.V. Club the movie is about “an insecure young woman who suffers a head injury during a »

It's capable of bringing down a T-Rex in prehistoric times, so just imagine the meal it could have with a modern-day menu. The massive Megalodon shark from Steve Alten's 1997 novel, Meg, will finally come to life on film via Warner Bros., but viewers now have a bit longer of a wait to see the ultimate apex predator make its splash on the big screen.
Multiple sources, including Variety, report that Meg will now be released in theaters (in 3D and IMAX) on August 10th, 2018, moving it several months from its previous March 2nd slot.
Directed by Jon Turteltaub (Last Vegas, National Treasure) and featuring a cast that includes Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Cliff Curtis, Rainn Wilson, and Ruby Rose, filming on Meg began last October in New Zealand, with shooting on the project also being done in China.

Fifty Shades Darker was a huge Valentine's Day winner at the box office, earning $11 million on Tuesday.
That was more than double the next closest film, The Lego Batman Movie ($5 million). And it's one of the best showings of all time for when the sweethearts' holiday falls on a weekday, almost matching record-holder The Vow, which pulled in $11.5 million on Valentine's Day in 2012, also a Tuesday.

In a world of constant uncertainty, one thing we know for sure is that Scott Speedman is a gorgeous, gorgeous man. The 41-year-old actor first caused us to doodle his name in our school notebooks in 1998 when he landed the role of Ben Covington on Felicity. Since then, he's starred in hits like Underworld, The Strangers, and The Vow. Currently, he stars opposite Ellen Barkin on TNT's Animal Kingdom. But aside from his long career, Scott has kept our attention over the years with his unfairly handsome smile, his ever-changing hair, and his adorable personality (did you know he placed ninth at the 1992 Olympic trials as part of the Canadian Junior National Swim Team?). Keep reading for more photos of Scott that will make you want to send his mother a basket of muffins (seriously, thank you, Mary Campbell). »

At some point Channing Tatum went from man-candy (what? It's been said) to movie star. His star rose when Step Up stole the hearts of romantic comedy lovers that had waited too long for a new dance film. Seemed like Save The Last Dance had been decades before, despite the fact it actually released only five years prior. But, let's take a look back at Channing's filmography and see exactly where Tatum became something more.
