Darby Quinn is a 23 year-old recovering drug addict about to take her 30 Day chip in sobriety. At the behest of her sponsor, Brooke, Darby gets a cat to mark the milestone. Less than thrilled about her new, furry companion, Darby struggles to make a connection and unwittingly begins to confide in the animal all of the feelings bottled up inside that she refuses to discuss with human ears. But the danger of relapse is imminent and Darby is losing her grip on sobriety. As she struggles to come to terms with her demons, Darby learns that hope is found in the most unlikely places and the most unusual forms. This film offers a portrait of one, young woman's journey as she walks through the wreckage of her past and begins to rebuild a life worth living.
