My favorite British XXX director is Anjali Kara, but another femme helmer from Blighty with a most distinctive style is Anna Span. I discovered her work by chance in my current survey of post-millennium Brit Porn and was very pleasantly impressed.
Making "Be My Toy Boy" even more interesting is a feature-length BTS documentary, far better than the usual junkers you see on American DVDs. Not only did it shed light on the filmmaker's technique and philosophy, but the off-the- cuff statements by cast members rang true for a change, never lapsing into the b.s. "fans want to hear" which is endemic to the inbred Chatsworth Adult community.
What I gleaned from both feature and doc is that Anna and her nearly all-female- crew are about creating realistic, believable explicit-sex content, reminiscent of the independently derived Lesbian Cinema movement in the U.S. typified by Girlfriends Films especially. She's played by Amanda, the mummy of the title, not a walking dead but rather parent of sheltered Deano. She's hired a Spanish-speaking cleaning lady Conchita who barely understands English but listens dutifully to motor-mouth Amanda's rapid-fire recitation of exactly how to clean the silver, polish a fragile mirror, etc., etc., while she'll be out for two hours, leaving the "hoovering" (I love the local argot in Brit productions) for when she gets back. But don't, whatever you do, disturb my boy sleeping upstairs Conchita -he's got to be fresh for an important school exam.
Lightly comic vignette has Conchita making a bee-line for the bedroom as soon as mom's gone, waking up the kid and humping him.
