Openly gay banker Daniel debates whether to return to Australia or stay in Hong Kong when he meets Kafka, a straight swimming instructor. The young men fall in love, believing that their love can bridge anything, despite their difference in sexuality and Kafka's increasing drug use. Daniel does not regret his love for Kafka, who tries to love him back against his nature. But a flashback memory from Kafka's past makes it difficult for their relationship to work. Written by bebop-85
It's seem like a boy named Kafka has been through so much from his life. The leading actor Byron Pang is very good at describing his character-Kafka, Kafka's emotion, Kafka's life. The film is somehow related to my feeling, my boyfriend, so no matter what critic say, I'm totally in love with this movie. The movie is fully describing the emotion of gay, the pain of gay. But the other problem is that the film is so focused on Kafka, Daniel is important too. I wish the director should focus more on Daniel's feeling. On the other side, such strong feeling, rage, pain, disappointed, hopeless the boy Kafka poses. Kafka really really love Daniel but he's just can't, he need time, he need to get through drug, so that he can be with him. It's really good movie, although like I said before, the film is so much focused on Kafka, I cant get Daniel, I cant understand that successful businessman. There's a lot of nude in this movie, but I feel art, I don't feel anything erotic here, they both have a great body that make the film really art. So don't worry if you afraid cause it's nothing at all. You must see this no matter straight, bi, gay or lesbian. I think this emotion is sharing all with us who know what love is
