When Steve McGarrett Alex O'Loughlin and Danny Williams Scott Caan are racing to catch the Chinese cargo ship, they are shown driving a late model Ford Crown Victoria, with the passenger cabin squared-off at the rear and the rear doors having a two-part window, with an integrated sidelight (1998 or later), but when the car is shown making the run on the straightaway and up the ramp onto the ship, it is a previous generation Crown Vic (1992-1997), with the rounded rear of the passenger cabin, and the sidelights behind and separate from the rear door windows. Then, once the car is on the deck of the ship, it reverts to the later model Crown Vic.
Several times in this episode, Dano and Steve are shown driving along a beach road with the ocean seemingly switching from one side of the car to the other. At one point, they are driving on a road with open ocean on both sides of the car. There are very few places on Oahu that this could be true, and they were not there.
Leading up to the final action scene on the Chinese freighter, Steve and Dano drive onto Ford Island in Pearl Harbor. Ford Island is a military facility and is not used for commercial shipping, especially for a Chinese vessel being used to transport a wanted terrorist.
There's a helicopter shot at the end of the apology scene in the car. The shot has been flopped so the motion continues in the same direction as the last interior shot and the following cityscape cutaway. This makes the car appear to be driving on the wrong side of the road but the light colored shirt shows that the driver in now on the right side of the car.
