My Review Of "Le Fear"
ASouthernHorrorFan12 November 2014
The concept and story are pretty simple in design, with shaky cam work documenting the whole experience of making an indie horror film from pre-production up to the final cut. Jason Croot creates a pretty fun experience for fans of Brit comedy. The writing is above low-budget, the acting is on point, and the characters feel authentic. Films that come to mind when watching "Le Fear" are "The Big Tease" and "In The Loop". Croot is among the few writers and directors that seems to have a knack for developing something great from the mundane and ordinary.

"Le Fear" does have moments when the characters fail to live up to the momentum created, mostly when stretching the scene fully out to top comic relief status. It doesn't happen with all the characters, and for most of the film the cast of characters are hilariously quirky, and honestly funny. Overall I was pleased with "Le Fear" and the ability for Jason Croot to create entertaining characters, direct the talent into performing with authenticity and a natural fluidity on camera. The chemistry is perfect and I found it impressive, the film feels like a higher budget film than it actually is.
