Taylor Lautner to forget about Twilight Saga, moving forward in his career. Recently, Twilight saga,Jacob Black star Tylor Lautner, recently revealed that he's going to put the popular Twilight Saga franchise flicks out of his mind when it comes to selecting new movie projects to do,because he doesn't want to have to keep focusing on being a huge star, and just do what he likes to do. In the clip, when asked if he felt pressure to be a big star. He responded with, "You kind of just have to realize that Twilight is Twilight and it’s unlike anything else. So, forget about that for a second, and if you can do that then you’re fine." He went on to say, they do things they're passionate about and really hope that people will enjoy them. Hopefully, Taylor can do better than his recently released Abduction flick in the future. »

Taylor Lautner has it all figured out! The gorgeous actor tells El Salvador's Ticket that Twilight is "unlike anything else" and if Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and himself can remember that, then they'll be successful actors! "You kind of just have to realize that Twilight is Twilight and it's unlike anything else," he laughs. "So forget about that for a second and if you can do that then you're fine! Because we do what we love to do and do things we are passionate about and really hope that people enjoy them." Taylor starred in Abduction this past year, Rob had Water for Elephants and Kristen had Welcome to the Rileys. But all of these stars have upcoming flicks like Cosmopolis, »

I started writing Confessions of a Male Twi-Hard in August 2010. "Really?" you say. "It seems like we've been putting up with you much longer than that."
I know. I'm already like an old, annoying college buddy (which is what I literally am to my editor Kevin). Anyway, 2011 is the first full calendar year that I've been covering "Twilight" regularly. While I haven't eaten chicken wings with Peter Facinelli, chest-bumped Kellen Lutz, touched Robert Pattinson's hair or accomplished anything on my Twi-Hard bucket list, it's still been a "Twilight" rollercoaster of good times these last 12 months. Now that 2011 is coming to a close, it only seems appropriate that I look back and pick my favorite Twi-hard moments of the year.
10. Beavis and Butt-Head Return as Twi-Hards, Kinda
My younger fandom of "Beavis and Butt-Head" rivals my current "Twilight" preoccupation. So, I was extremely excited for the show's return to MTV with new episodes. »

A purported cover of People magazine featuring Taylor Lautner that made its way around the web Monday (Dec. 26) is a hoax.
The fake cover touts an "exclusive" that the "Twilight" star is coming out as gay with the headline "Out & Proud." The cover also sports a quote supposedly from Lautner: "I'm more liberated, and happier than I've ever been."
Rumors that Lautner is gay have been floating around pretty much since "Twilight" put him in the spotlight three years ago, but Lautner has always denied it.
Taylor Lautner dished on the making of one fight sequence in "Abduction" which sees him and Illia Volok facing off each other inside a train. The 19-year-old hunk initially shared, "We really did this. He throws me through a door. He throws me up against the bathroom's stall. He throws my face into the glass then it shattered. Being thrown around quite a bit."
The actor, played Nathan Harper in the thriller movie, explained that the scene was real and under a stunt coordinator's supervision. He said, "It was all for real, which is great and involved a lot of training as well. It's very specific and this was actually more dangerous one because we weren't wearing gloves, so if one of us messes up, we're literally getting punched with a bare fist."
After being told that their scene wasn't really selling, Taylor went full frontal in the next take »
The first film on the list of 265 films that have qualified for the 2011 Academy Awards, the Taylor Lautner action flick "Abduction" (below), has virtually no chance of getting an Oscar nomination. The last movie on the list, "Zookeeper," is in pretty much the same boat. And in between those bookends, you'll find far more pretenders than contenders, by a margin of two-or-three-to-one. The 265 eligible films sit in between the 248 that qualified last year, and the 274 in the running two years ago. For the record, here's the Academy's list of »

Relativity Media have released the first two posters for the Tarsem Singh directed Snow White film Mirror Mirror - which stars Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Sean Bean and Nathan Lane and is released on March 16th 2012.
The film stars Lily Collins (Abduction) as an exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright and Oscar-winner Julia Roberts as an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, in a magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

It's said you should try to avoid meeting the people you admire, as they're bound to disappoint. Sigourney Weaver, however, put the lie on that entirely when we got to talk with her at the recent Marrakech International Film Festival, where she was serving as President of the short films jury. If her recent movie choices have been a bit mixed (for every "Rampart" there's an "Abduction") Weaver herself seems teflon-coated in that she can emerge from lesser films intact, and somehow any blame gets deflected onto the films themselves for not being able to capitalize properly on her particular brand of charisma. This erratic quality level has also, presumably, a lot to do with being an actress of a certain age who wants to work regularly, (and boy, does she work: 2011 saw her in 4 theatrical releases -- the aforementioned films plus "Paul" and "Cedar Rapids"); it's hardly controversial to suggest that Hollywood isn't exactly. »
Just last week, we learned that Robert Pattinson ("Edward Cullen") and Kristen Stewart ("Bella Swan") are two of Hollywood's "Best Actors for the Buck," so today's news that the two are among Hollywood's highest earners for 2011 is no surprise. Forbes released its list of the year's biggest movie moneymakers, and Pattinson - whose Water For Elephants was released in addition to their shared The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 this year - came in fourth place, with his films bringing in $750 million (and counting). Meanwhile Stewart came in sixth place with Breaking Dawn - Part 1's $633 million. ... Oddly enough, Taylor Lautner ("Jacob Black") wasn't counted in this. If he were, he'd have the Breaking Dawn earnings, plus the $82 million his Abduction brought in worldwide this year as »
It’s definitely about that time of year, when everyone starts putting together their “best of” lists, and of course we see Twilight start popping up on quite a few. Here NextMovie takes a look at the “Sexiest Movie Couples of 2011″, and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart come in at #3 as Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn – Part 1. In addition, Rob and Reese Witherspoon also made the list at #15 for Water for Elephants, and Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins came in at #16 for Abduction. Check it all out below:
After three movies of pent-up longing and waiting, audiences finally get to see Bella (Stewart) join her dazzling Edward (Pattinson) at the altar. At last, Bella and Edward do what honeymooners do — and that extended skinny-dipping, bed-breaking, chess-playing, lovemaking sequence is a Twi-hard’s dream come true.
Oh the angst — the heartbreaking angst, and few young actors handle it as sexily as R.Pattz. As an orphaned college dropout who runs away with the circus, Pattinson’s young Jacob falls desperately in love with the show’s married star, played by the blonde and beautiful Reese Witherspoon.
After years of watching Lautner’s broody Jacob Black pine for Bella in the “Twilight” series, it’s refreshing to see the hunky star finally get the girl (the lovely Collins). That scene on the train alone — when Lautner literally sweeps Collins off her feet — qualifies as one of the best kisses of 2011.

We start the Top 7. You finish the Top 10.
It might be awards season in my head, but it’s Twilight time everywhere else. For three weeks in a row now, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been standing as awkwardly stiff as Taylor Lautner in that poster over there to keep the top box office spot. Finally, New Year’s Eve knocked it out of the top spot. Sigh, that sentence doesn’t help, does it? While it’s also certainly December, Breaking Dawn has been fending off an onslaught of summer season-like releases including Happy Feet Two, and The Muppets.
As an outsider to the franchise who only “understands” Twilight through the films, there are numerous silly elements about the whole kit ‘n kaboodle that are simply strange to me. Sometimes they make me scratch my head, sometimes they make me giggle like a twelve-year-old girl, and sometimes I have both of those reactions. »

Taylor Lautner has openly expressed wanting to follow in Tom Cruise's footsteps. Could the 'Top Gun' remake be his shot? Tom Cruise is actively talking about a Top Gun remake or sequel and now everyone is dying to know if Taylor Lautner -- who has been compared to the A-list action star since he came onto the scene as Jacob in Twilight -- will be the next Maverick. Early last year, rumors swirled that Taylor, 19, was in talks to do a remake of sorts. However, the buzz disappeared and didn't resurface until his first major action film, Abduction, hit theaters in September. Unfortunately for Taylor, Abduction flopped -- with both critics And the box office. Even though his film wasn't a massive hit, we don't think Taylor should be written off as a leading man just yet. Plus, now Tom has confirmed he's seriously considering the remake, »

It’s stating the obvious, perhaps, but Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol takes action cinema to new heights. The heights of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, as it happens, as director Brad Bird drags Tom Cruise up to the top of the world’s tallest building (all 2716 feet of it), dangles him from near the top, and then points an IMAX camera at him.
To say this particular sequence is exhilirating barely does it justice. The audacity, calmness and confidence of it is staggering, and it’s the centrepiece of a really quite strong Mission: Impossible movie.
Because mark this as a franchise back on track. Appreciating that Mission: Impossible III was quite warmly received, I was never that sold on it. I »

Taylor Lautner is the international mega-star who plays Jacob Black in the Twilight series. Now I don’t know a lot about the guy, and I’m sure he’s as lovely as can be. But I tell you who I would definitely get along with: His Sassy Gay Hand Queerty brings us this Gif taken from an interview Taylor gave during an Abduction junket, one in which he was discussing Audrey Hepburn. (I’m just saying! Relax.) Now I’m not saying Taylor is at all gay. The fact that his abs would never touch me in a sexual manner has nothing to do with his sexuality, and possibly everything to do with the fact that I ate sliders for dinner last night. But I am saying his hand might be having an identity crisis. This is the gayest hand attached to someone named Taylor since Meshach Taylor in Mannequin… »

Okay, that’s enough of that. Love it, hate it or just not really caring much about it at all (I place myself in the latter), Twilight is guaranteed for at least one thing; complete box office dominance. It did not disappoint earning itself a spot behind the very epic Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 »
