Great New Show!
ymouloua14 April 2010
This show is great! In this economy where small business owners are not getting the bank loans they need to maintain what they own, it's great to see the "little guy" getting some help. Watching Charlie and his Crew move in quickly to help a business that has fallen on hard times is great. There is a feel good, patriotic tone to this show that all Americans can appreciate. Sure, there's yelling, and some people might find it offensive, but when you see the true meaning of the show there is no greater reward! The crew in the end will feel proud of the hard work and make the community around them feel proud! "The Bulldog" in the end, gains the respect he deserves. The crew stays in gear, ready to roll, when they need to. All in all, it's patriotic, it's the American Dream. Anyone who's had that dream can understand the logic behind it all.

Really liked the show . It ended to soon! It was unbelievable how they could convert a total wreckage into a beautiful finished project in just 3 days. Definitely intriguing!

Contrived

A manufactured feel good story with the required heart breaking story, impossible deadline that is miraculous achieved, a practical joke on the hard-nosed leader, and the life changing/world saving initiative saved/brought back from the brink of disaster.

There are comparable programs that are not as contrived and don't try and make the victims out to be something they are not. Why not focus on the construction issues and contracting problems so that viewers can learn from other peoples mistakes. Is this a construction show or an after school special?

It should be on some other network, not Discovery. What a waste of airtime.

Its okay, if you watch it on mute :p

Its okay "but" I have to watch it with the sound off, Charlie and his SCREAMING is just to "fake" and annoying...

I have seen, and worked with bosses like that before, and there business has went under, because no one would work for them, and take there crap...

I know its a put on to make TV "drama", but I cant stand his voice, or the fake screaming :(

I either mute it, or look at the start, and fast forward to the end, to see it done lol...........

But I have to say they do VERY good work, I was wondering who pays for all the stuff though?

Charlie makes it look, and sound like he does, But I know that's not the case..

I did hear him say other merchants paid for one build, but who foots the bill for the others?

Way too much yelling

I like all kinds of makeover/construction/improvement shows, whether it's about decorating or the more basic hammer-and-nails focus. I don't mind some raised voices once in a while. But every word that comes out of Charlie's mouth is at a decibel level that suggests he's trying to be heard over a jet engine, and it's just too annoying. On top of that, he keeps saying "make it right", which only reminds me of how much I wish I was watching Mike Holmes instead of Charlie Frattini... so he's not doing himself any favors there. It looks like the show only lasted for a handful of episodes. I'm not surprised. I've seen three on streaming and I likely won't finish out the season, even though it's free. Just not for me.
