Storyline

Whilst researching for her family tree Lisa uncovers the 1860 diary of little Eliza Simpson, who helped Colonel Burns' slave Virgil escape to Canada but the diary ends abruptly and at the school project Milhouse informs her that Eliza in fact helped put Burns on Virgil's trail. Fortunately Grampa knows the true ending to the story, which accounts for why the Simpsons have Negro blood in them. Written by don @ minifie-1

Great Episode with More Simpsons Family History Revealed,
7 May 2010 | by See all my reviews

The Color Yellow is a brlliant Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes.I liked seeing this episode develop the Simpsons family history even more,it touched on a period of the past that I never thought they would show and I really liked that,as we see more old fashioned versions of the family.I really liked the characters of both Eliza Simpson and Virgil, they were both very likable and, although I doubt it will happen,I would like to see another episode show us their future. The episode also had a pretty unexpected twist that I thought was clever and really appreciated it.The Color Yellow is a very enjoyable Simpsons episode.

While searching for an interesting part of her family's history for a school project,Lisa discovers the diary of Eliza Simpson, who helps a slave named Virgil escape to freedom.
